Elvish Branchbender

Creature — Elf Druid

Until end of turn, target Forest becomes an X/X Treefolk creature in addition to its other types, where X is the number of Elves you control.

If you're looking for another tribe to play with elves that has synergy with them, I would say go with treefolk.

Not only does going with that tribe open you up to black and to green which give you access to move elves, but they do work together.

A few examples I could find: Sylvan Offering , Ambassador Oak , and Elvish Branchbender

What would you substitute for the Elvish Branchbender, YetiritterTom?

Elvish Branchbender would be great in this deck.

monkeyprophet it's cool! Karametra's Acolyte Seems good, I originally had it in, but it proved to be too slow too many times to be worth it for me. It's four mana, I would much rather spend towards something that generates card advantage. Llanowar Druid is the only one there that even seems remotely fast enough, imo, and it's not even good becuase I rarely ever have 6 forests in play and the table not be dead already, or most of the time I tutor for Deserted Temple + Gaea's Cradle + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx which aren't forests... /: Yavimaya Elder is very slow because the lands go into my hand. Gyre Sage just doesn't fit the them of the deck very well and turn two is not a turn I want to sped possibly casting a creature that won't even generate a mana until I play a fatter creature of sorts. I want turn two to be spent playing Seton, Krosan Protector. Elvish Branchbender is not that great in not an elf tribal deck. Yes, some of creatures just so happen to be elves as well but not all of them. Joraga Treespeaker once again, really slow and helps elves. Not all elves are druids and not all druids are elves. Llanowar Mentor is card disadvantage. Sylvan Advocate is once again really slow. His value is once you control six or more lands and like I mentioned earlier I want the table dead by then.

K00lDudE1 No, it's too huggy. By that I mean I don't really want anything helping ANYONE else. I'm looking at you goblin players The only card in the deck that does that is Gauntlet of Power and to be honest it's only played the turn I destroy everyone's hopes and dreams.

a few other suggestions that meet the most important criteria for this deck, they're all druids! Karametra's Acolyte,Keeper of Progenitus,Drumhunter,Elvish Branchbender,Krosan Restorer,Seton, Krosan Protector,Yavimaya Elder,Gyre Sage,Llanowar Druid,Sylvan Advocate,Joraga Treespeaker,Llanowar Mentor. I'm not sure wjich, if any of these, you may want to use, but there are a few really powerful ones in the list.

Great deck! +1 from me, seems to be great to play, and more importantly, great to play against!
