Screptile I'd love to see those decks play at a table with three t1-2.5 decks. It'd be funny, because they are sounding very good with how you're talking about them, but I know they're not. The reality is JVP is a high tide commander, not control. You cannot win trying to play control against three combo decks that are a majority of t1-2. You just simply can't counter enough.

As for Clique, I feel as though she/he, whatever it is, (no knowledge of the lore behind the fae) most likely won't even come down before a game is already being won. Like I said earlier, sitting down with other decks that are ALL very threatening and powerful, you simply can't provide enough counter magic to three other people to do anything to stop them. Even if you do, you're going to win with a 7 turn clock to 1 of the 3 opponents? Ha. That's a joke in and of itself.

For example, just to show you, I was piloting the Thrasios/Tymna Doomtide deck played/created by one of the labmen yesterday against a Nath stax deck (that I built), a Keranos stax deck (Cameron of the labman piloted this on an episode and I fell in love with it, also my deck), a Paradoxical Arcum deck, and a Karametra Echantress with some prison aspects to it and my opening hand was 3 fetches, Mox Diamond, Mana Crypt, Imperial Seal, Vampiric Tutor, I'm on the play, play mana rocks cast seal (drew a flusterstorm) go get LED. turn 1 sol rings etc. from everyone else a bit of hand sculpting. Drew led, cast thrasios. turn 2 hand sculpting someone made every draw a card (some random kid that isn't included in my earlier listing as he's playing an AWFUL Nekusar deck) I respond with Vampiric Tutor, get Auriok Salvagers draw it, my turn draw land play salvagers, LED, response from the arcum player was force, i replied with a flusterstorm. Win.

You're going to tell me you can control me and two-four (my usual group) out of the game when we are all playing stax, combo, and prison decks? No. That's impossible. Literally. I think they're both fine where they are.

I really didn't see anything enough to warrant the trade. Apologies mate.

No problem, I'm just looking for stuff that's specifically on my wants, mostly in foil though.

Gosse I did, he's okay. He doesn't just win the game for us but he definitely got some good damage in.

yesty13 Swapping out cards is always an important meta call and I think that is the best way to play EDH honestly. Everyone's play group is different.

Gosse take a look at my trade binder good sir!

heartofwolf Guerte is on a hiatus, he'll be back hopefully before too long. IMO I think that's pretty good. But, I don't really know as much about this deck as I do his others.

Gosse I definitely recommend getting fast mana. It is not very noticeable at times (like when they're not in your hand), but they are VERY worth it. The explosiveness of the deck just hits a new and really dumb level. It will be very well worth it! I even may have a few of these pieces that you're looking for as extras. ;)

Scorched Ruins seems fine as a poor man's Mishra's Workshop (not dissing you) just using the terminology. lol

DrkNinja I didn't even think about Myr Battlesphere. I think it might be worth a test!

August 2, 2017 2:50 p.m.

DrkNinja I'm not really sure how I feel about it in here, I know for a fact it is a REALLY, REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY good card in my Captain Sisay deck and my friends Yisan, the Wanderer Bard deck. I feel like it would be fine honestly, I'm just not sure what to cut out at this point? I feel like it could be good, but the main problem I had/have with it is that I never really have the creatures in play because I just toss them to Daretti after I use them. So I'm not really sure that it becomes that great. HOWEVER, Karn, Silver Golem makes this pretty intense. So maybe...

Also, Guerte's Workshop is altered by Eric Klug, so it looks really clean.

Gosse It's no problem! Also as for the Trinisphere over Static Orb I don't feel that it is a bad idea to run a it, but Static Orb is really nice whenever we combine it with Unwinding Clock. However, with the Animar, Soul of Elements deck in your meta I'd recommend you find something that's kind of underperforming in your opinion and maybe swap it out and give it a try.

I tried really hard to make Panharmonicon work and I just couldn't. It was more often a dead card than it was anything else. Once again, this is always at the discretion of the user, if you feel you can make it work, go for it. Bring me your results! I'm going to try my hardest to keep it alive for as long as possible.

LuminAutopsy it gets back his Proteus Staff if it's milled or destroyed or countered, etc.

thundranos Yes. You can post your fb profile link on my wall and I can friend you so I can tag you. I'm pretty certain it's in the high end alters fb group.

Gosse the Unwinding Clock has always been super important imo, because it allows you to be unpunished for using our Grim Monolith, Basalt Monolith and Mana Vault. I've also had very good success using it with Nevinyrral's Disk.

As for budget replacements for the high dollar cards, sadly they are no where near the real deal. Crystal Vein is your best bet replacement, however you might consider Temple of the False God as well, as Guerte runs both in his budget build. You could add Mikokoro, Center of the Sea perhaps? The best game I ever won before I took my turn was an opening hand of Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Alhammarret's Archive and Bazaar of Baghdad. That game was over super quick due to the amount of cards I was drawing every turn.

Guerte's budget list can be found here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/daretti-the-degenerate-budget/
