Seeing the old Dark Supplicant + Scion of Darkness combo brought back some memories..!

I would suggest that you think about adding Rotlung Reanimator in your deck as well!!

Apart from the fact that they belonged together back in the day, imagine the army of Zombies that you will now have! Plus, you 'll protect your Demons from Diabolic Edict effects even further :-)

Had a somewhat similar deck based on Scion of Darkness and Dark Supplicant but found it to be very clunky to play. The Scion was always destroyed and cost too many clerics to work regularly. Looking over your deck you are at least 1-2 lands short and I would increase Orzhov Basilica to 4 of to give you a pseudo extra land (on average every second game when you should see it). Academy Rector doesn't work in this deck, its a 4 drop creature with few sac outlets to grab 1 of 2 enchantments, one of which is a 4 drop in itself. I would just play 4 Rite of Belzenlok which ties in well with Rotlung Reanimator and Twilight Prophet. Doing that makes Overwhelming Splendor too expensive to cast which you can replace with an extra Cabal Therapy (I would consider replacing Cabal Therapy with Duress to protect your demons/key clerics/general board position unless you know what decks you will be up against most of the time).

I recently revisited my deck after Rite of Belzenlok and Archfiend's Vessel which I think has given a more reliable deck. Moved the focus to a wider range of demon threats which I think has helped. Every demon has it's day if you want to check it out.

Thanks for the suggestions DarkRequiem, I have had both Scion of Darkness and Dark Supplicant in the deck, in foil to boot, and I tend to cycle them in from time to time. The only real problem I have had with them is the lack of haste in the deck. Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is fun but gets kinda shut down hardcore by Ravos, Soultender with his anthem effect although if I were to go Shadowborn Apostle it would be hilarious. I really wish they had a partner cleric with red in the cost for the haste...

Although it isn't a cleric, which is a shame, he could help you lots here: Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. Most of the clerics with a sac ability are 1 power, so...

Also, have you considered Scion of Darkness with Dark Supplicant?

Apollo_Paladin Thank you for the compliment. I gave a look at your deck, and it gave me some ideas, specifically with Unearth. I know what you're thinking with Chromatic Lantern but I really like it as a little bit of an insurance policy to help maintain floating mana. I took your advice with moving Nova Cleric to the sideboard until I find something more cost effective for enchantment removal; so more updates to come. I also removed Dark Supplicant and the Scion of Darkness. It felt like unnecessary/cumbersome when more efficient means of sacrificing exist and adding another Coat of Arms seems like a better use of space.

So far my favorite combo that I have been playing around with involves sacrificing Selfless Spirit for 1-3 zombies tokens (courtesy of Rotlung Reanimator), then tapping cleric tokens that Hanweir Militia Captain  ^Flip provided to use Skirsdag High Priest and get 1-4 demon tokens, then using Unearth to put Selfless Spirit back into and ready to sac again for the next turn, and depending on how many Suture Priests are on field gaining 3-12 life for the low low cost of 1 mana, pending what is already on the field of course. Additionally, Coat of Arms really makes this a nasty combo.

Despite their gross impracticality, I love "exodia" style cards. Half the time thy are never worth it though. lol What about Dark Supplicant and Scion of Darkness ? If this wasn't commander, i'd recommend Prince of Thralls . You can summon him in mono-black with Demon's Herald with hybrid mana cards.

I love cleric tribal, I realize this is a jank deck but with some focus it can also be effective. I think the first trick is to synergize with your command and find clerics that can be sacrificed for gains the second is to find ways to drain their health quickly so you can focus on the first.

The best way to life drain is probably with Exsanguinate, Debt to the Deathless, Torment of Hailfire or similar spells so that your commanders to hand ability can be utilized.

The next one is not quite so easy and needs tuning to make really good, but I would recommend clerics like Benevolent Bodyguard, Children of Korlis, Dark Supplicant with Scion of Darkness, Frontline Medic, Nova Cleric, Remorseful Cleric, Sanctum Guardian and Selfless Spirit for creatures that can be utilized well with your commander and as a bonus its flavorful to have fanatical priests dedicated to some grim god.

Generally useful clerics matter cards would be Edgewalker, Ancestor's Prophet, Battletide Alchemist, Rotlung Reanimator and Whipgrass Entangler.

A little combo for Starlit Sanctum is Daru Spiritualist + Shaman en-Kor to gain some arbitrarily high life total.

In tribe Card draw considerations are Tymna the Weaver, Bygone Bishop and Twilight Prophet.

I don't know if you will continue to develop this but I would like to see your take on it as you evolve it.
