Emzed, you are right, but I decided against straight stax pieces after some soulsearching (threats by my group).I want them to play I just don't want them to do degenerate things or enjoy life too much. If I had to go in that direction though, I'd surely folloy your suggestions

Consider Playing Aggravated Assault . You aren't using any Sword of Feast and Famine or other obvious combos, but Earthcraft + Tana, the Bloodsower only needs one extra point of power, easily achieved, to go infinite.
