Pearl Diving
The fisherman spent his days lounging around on his rowboat, fishing his days away in the sun, farmer's tan and a wide-brimmed hat over his eyes. *SPLASH* The fisherman was rocked awake as his line was yanked by a forceful bite. Furiously, he tried reeling it in. *SNAP* the fishing line broke and sent him tumbling back on his rear. He couldn't let this one get away, so he folded the hem of his jeans to his knees, and took a deep dive. He was not a strong swimmer, but he caught a glimmer of a pearl below. As he descended into the blackness of the abyss, he realized he was not diving down; rather, it was moving closer. It was no pearl.

Have fun playing this Thassa's Oracle combo Deck! In this deck, your library represents the sea, and you are diving to the bottom of the sea to capture the pearl and win the game!

--Gameplan--

The goal here is to exile your library using Puresight Merrow and cast Thassa's Oracle or Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy.

You do this by turning Puresight Merrow into a mana dork, which allows him tap and untap an infinite number of times! This lets you exile cards from the top of the library until you draw the card you need.

--Combo Pieces--

  • Puresight Merrow

This guy is the cornerstone of the deck, the goal is to go infinite! You'll want to get him in play as soon as possible. Use the wizardcycling ability on Step Through to ensure your deck has an unending army of these dudes. But keep him safe with Counterbalance as well.

  • Karametra's Favor

When Karametra's Favor enters the battlefield, if enchanting Puresight Merrow, you can hold priority, keeping the card draw on the stack! This means you can immediately tap Puresight Merrow for mana, as well as untap, all at instant speed! Exile cards from the top until you reach the card you are looking for, which is usually Thassa's Oracle, Then let the card draw portion of Karametra's Favor resolve.

  • Cryptolith Rite

This card tends to stay on the battlefield when your creatures die, and works great with Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy.

  • Paradise Mantle

Just a super-cheap artifact for the combo that you can get one or two of on the board turn 1.

  • Counterbalance

Use Counterbalance to protect the combo! Once the Puresight Merrow-Mana tapping combo is assembled, you can change the top card of your library. This means counterbalance will counter any card your opponent can throw at you (Provided you have a card of the same mana value in your library).

--Mana Base--

You can adjust the land base as needed depending on your budget or preference. You can swap Hinterland Harbor for Botanical Sanctum.
