Hi all! This is my take on Grixis control for Modern. Since I started playing Magic I always admired this deck, specially in the cards of Corey Burkhart! He's a really good magic player, and probably one of the players that has tinkered with Grixis control the most.

This list is mostly based on the lists by Corey Burkhart with variations based on other Grixis pilots, and some additions due to the local metagame. A card I want to get is one Engineered Explosives instead of the second Dreadbore. That card is an answer to Teferi, Time Raveler which is a real problem for this deck. One cool answer to Teferi is Drown in the Loch. This card has blown me away for how good it is! Another card which can be really useful in many situations is Engineered Explosives, it's an answer to card: Teferi, Time Traveler, and just a Wrath against Aggro or Tokens! :D

I also see it possible to add one copy of Force of Despair to the sideboard if there's Infect or Boggles in the meta. Finally, an addition to the deck to make are Scalding Tarn. If you have those, or you can afford them, I would swap probably one Bloodstained Mire, one Watery Grave and one basic Mountain for three of those.

Mainboard: -1 Magmatic Sinkhole; +1 Dreadbore

Sideboard: -2 Abrade; +2 Saheeli, Sublime Artificer

The reason for this changes is that the local metagame has quite a lot of UW control, and for those matchups I need either Planeswalker removal and/or early pressure. I considered Young Pyromancer, but it's substantially weaker agains UW. Also, there's not many artifact decks in the meta, plus I have 4 Kolaghan's Command in the Main board
