Modern Tokens WB (Orzhov)

Sideboard

The decks primary goal is to put out a bunch of tokens with cheap spells and swing for lethal using multiple anthem effects. To help slow down our opponent, we cast some hand disruption early game while we build a stable board state.

The Deck

Intangible Virtue is simply the best way to boost our creatures, giving them +1/+1 and vigilance. Honor of the Pure is a little worse, but lets us get in a little extra damage from our Shambling Vent s and Soul Warden s.

Auriok Champion nets us life every time a creature enters the battlefield, so it helps mitigate some of the damage inflicted to us over the course of the match. The fact that it also has protection from red and black also makes it harder for our opponents to deal with, as well as allowing it to block without risk of it dying.

Like I said earlier, both Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek give us that little disruption early game that can tip the match in our favor.

Set aside basic lands, this is pretty normal stuff. Marsh Flats and Windswept Heath are our fetchlands and Godless Shrine is the shockland we fetch. Shambling Vent gives us a dude when we need 'em, Concealed Courtyard is our fastland that can save us some life early in the game, and lastly Fetid Heath is used to make sure we have WWW on turn 3 given we hit a swamp.

Again, pretty straightforward. We run Path to Exile because it's prime removal. Fatal Push might end up becoming a 4 of in future updates based off its flexibility to remove most creatures without putting our opponent ahead.

The core of the deck comes down to our efficient spells that create multiple creatures. We get the most bang for our buck with Spectral Procession by creating three spirit tokens for three mana, followed closely by Lingering Souls giving us two spirit tokens, and another two tokens by flashing it back. Bitterblossom produces a 1/1 flyer at the beginning of each of our upkeeps, and persists even after board wipes, allowing us to quickly stabilize. We just have to micromanage our life total, as Bitterblossom can kill us just as quickly as our opponents can.

Both of these guys are capable of creating tokens and giving an anthem-like effect. Sorin, Solemn Visitor 's negative six is game ending and will seriously hurt your opponent(s) should it go off.
