Timbermare

Creature — Elemental Horse

Haste

Echo (5)(Green) (At the beginning of your upkeep, if this came under your control since the beginning of your last upkeep, sacrifice it unless you pay its echo cost.)

When Timbermare enters the battlefield, tap all other creatures.

I played a similar deck based on Groundbreaker and Timbermare at the time around the Time Spiral Block along with Primal Forcemage . What a fun deck it was, always fun to go back to in my playgroup (even if everyone is rolling their eyes when they see me unpacking it).

Great idea!

Liliana definitely gives me some pretty big Yennefer vibes. Maybe a few copies of her would be good? Liliana, Heretical Healer  Flip and Liliana of the Veil could work.

The Gitrog Monster could work well as the Ofiri prince in the sewers of Oxenfurt from the HoS DLC.

Necrophages are pretty easy to find in Black. I'm thinking of the new art on Carrion Feeder would work well, so would Phyrexian Ghoul. Wraiths of all kind are also pretty easy to find. Frozen Shade from 5th Edition, Chilling Shade, Liliana's Shade and Nightwing Shade all seem like good options.

Higher Vampires are also pretty easy, you can take your pick from tons of options. Maybe you could put in some legendary vampires that could represent Detlaff and Regis? Maybe Baron Sengir and Crovax the Cursed? Shauku, Endbringer looks like an Alp or Bruxa.

You need a horse and a boat! Sleek Schooner looks about right. There are a surprising amount of horses in Black and Green, the best of which are Nightmare, Timbermare and Vine Mare. Roach looks a bit more like Dusk Charger (minus the red eyes).

The Wild Hunt and the White Frost could be represented by a Snow subtheme. A handful of snow basics, Boreal Druid and Rimebound Dead could be a decent start, along with a few more things like Dead of Winter.

I'll give this some more thought later. Hopefully this gave you some ideas you like!

I wouldn't use card slots for enchantment specific/transmute tutors, as most of them cost 3 mana which isn't worth it. A couple Commune with the Gods is your best bet if you really have trouble finding Summoning; I'd cut a Mass Hysteria and an Ammit Eternal , Shivan Wumpus , or a land to make space.

Wayward Swordtooth probably has more upside than Ammit Eternal . Maybe also try playing Timbermare or Surrak, the Hunt Caller in place of Shivan Wumpus , not necessarily because they're better but because they might give the deck more angles to attack from.

Chansamu:

Glad you love the deck, man! :D As for your flying problem, I can't say that I have one. My meta usually consists of fast combo decks that aim to win around turn 5-6 or heavy control and stax decks. The deck currently has the best possible suite for general creature control without compromising the combo and as an added side bonus Great Oak Guardian can also help if absolutely needed.

Furthermore, there are other precautions you can take, like the Thornweald Archer . You can also use Kraul Harpooner and Emerald Charm . Personally, I don't like the other guys cause they do nothing for the combo at hand.

As for the Hexproof, you have access to Lignify and Song of the Dryads which can be brought out via Genesis Hydra . However, this is only relevant when you're trying to wipe the field with a pesky Hexproof creature and you're trying to end with Shaman of Forgotten Ways .

If damage is that much of an issue you can still make some concessions for something like Spore Frog or Timbermare for killing blows or set up a Turbofrog with Eternal Witness / Skullwinder .

However, if your pod makes you the archenemy because you're playing Yeva Draw-Grow, you might not be in the right arena. This is a deck that should be matched with similarly strong decks that don't rely on damage/voltron-like strategies that can pummel this deck in archenemy-like situations. Though, I promise you this deck will still manage to pull through those situations if played correctly and patiently as is.

I hope this helps!

Not sure if it's worth it Haha, but you really need Groundbreaker and Uktabi Drake . Maybe if your ambitious you can include Hornet Sting . Timbermare is better then boomkegs probably :)

i like Goblin Bombardment , esp since theres an omnath and a muldrotha to cast it back after a bane. also, more sac engines means more advantage from maelstrom wanderer constantly being cast from your graveyard. For an older more jank build i ran, i liked Timbermare and Thundermare to control my opponents combat phases.

Just found a pretty cool sequence that would be pretty easy to pull off (I think), but maybe too contrived to be worth it... have many tokens in play, cast Timbermare; all other creatures tap, swing for 5 with Timbermare; immediately after combat, cast Throne of the God-Pharaoh, inflicting damage equal to tapped creatures that you control. With enough ramp, could be played relatively early, though I haven't put much thought into specifics.
