Academy Researchers
Creature — Human Wizard
When Academy Researchers enters the battlefield, you may put an Aura card from your hand onto the battlefield attached to Academy Researchers.

Colossal Conscription

I feel like a playset of Vedalken AEthermage is too much. Maybe cut a couple for some utility wizards that you can tutor up? Malevolent Hermit Flip, Venser, Shaper Savant and Gadwick, the Wizened could all be worth considering as toolbox options.
Its a bit janky but if you wanted you could also run Fool's Demise for an invincible Academy Researchers.

I’ve just seen you’ve splashed red -, in which case i can suggest Storm Herald over Academy Researchers. The Herald has haste which is pretty important for having a better chance of making contact, and can also get multiple of the Eldrazi Conscription attached at once. You will need ways to discard the Conscriptions though, so Izzet Charm will probably be useful if you go down that path

How often do you find the tokens from Occult Epiphany are a big help? They aren't nothing, for sure, but I can't help but wonder if Careful Study would be better in its place. You have to pay four mana for the Epiphany to cycle more cards than the Study, and I assume that getting your graveyard loaded ASAP is a major priority.
Since you're running a ton of huge auras, you might also be interested in Iridescent Drake or even Academy Researchers. The drake is slow and not super efficient, but it is an all-in-one package once your graveyard is stocked. The Researchers don't quite mesh with your stated goal, but... well, with 12 auras to go around, it isn't too hard to imagine dropping one on turn three and immediately going to town. Just some ideas!

Academy Researchers + Fool's Demise can be a fun little infinite sacrifice combo, if your playgroup is ok with that.
Seems like a sweet deck regardless.

Arcanum Wings to swap for eldrazi conscription and Academy Researchers for the same reason. Add Celestial Mantle or Angelic Destiny
+1 for Rafiq, he's the man!

So, I play W/U bogles as well. I think you may want to consider your approach a little bit more concerning the Arcanum Wings/Conscription combo versus a stronger more reliable concentrated effort towards beefing up a Bogle the traditional way so take it or leave it, this is my advice.
A Conscription deck has a lot more focus around what one would call a "toolbox" style deck with tutors and other large auras to work well with Arcanum Wings in case you don't fish up the conscription enchantment (which should be a 4 of to maximize consistency).
Creatures like Heliod's Pilgrim is a great choice/option for fishing up the aura you need if you don't want to run tutors Open the Armory or some sort of card draw to keep up the gas so again, I highly suggest them.
Creatures like Academy Researchers act like a sort of ace-in-the-hole strategy as a last ditch effort should Arcanum wings not show up for you.
Even though to a large degree you are using the same creatures that W/U bogles use the effort still needs to be focused around tutoring up (or drawing) the aura, placing Arcanum wings on creature and swapping it by turn 3.
I hope I'm not beating a dead horse here dude because I love the combo as well and understand that it's really put in here as a contingency plan. I also hope you don't mind wordy posts either I do have some more suggestions if you want so feel free to ask! I do like the deck for the most part I just feel differently about conscriptions usefulness in here when you have great low cost auras already in here to compliment a Bogle strategy.
I feel it's also important to note that you won't get card draw off of a Kor Spiritdancer if you use an aura swap.
TheRedMage on What counts as "targeting"
8 years ago
Small nitpick - and I hope I am not confusing things here - but it's worth mentioning that while casting an Aura does target, if you manage to put that aura onto the battlefield directly without casting it, it will attach itself to something it could enchant without targeting it. This doesn't target so effects that restrict targeting (like shroud or hexproof) don't stop this process. However if a permanent couldn't be legally enchanted by that aura (for example, because it has protection from it) it still cannot.
Examples of this are:
- a Sun Titan returns a Pacifism to the battlefield as part of its ETB effect;
- Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero is activated for 3, finds Bound in Silence and puts it on the battlefield;
- A Nimble Mongoose attacks alone while Sovereigns of Lost Alara is on the battlefield. Sovereigns' effect finds a Spectra Ward and slaps it on the 'Goose
- Replenish is cast, returning a bunch of enchantments to the battlefield.
- Academy Researchers enters the battlefield. You put a Shiv's Embrace on them from your hand (you can still do this if you control Spiritual Asylum, but not if you control Absolute Law).
In all these cases, it doesn't matter that the Aura was in your graveyard and library - it matters that it wasn't cast. For example, if I control Karador, Ghost Chieftain and cast a Gnarled Scarhide from my graveyard for its bestow cost, I am still casting it and as such will need to target the creature I want the Scarhide to end up on.

You have the right idea with the start, but a few important changes I'd suggest.
Take out the Legendary Eldrazi, they don't work with the commander's ability.
Eldrazi aren't the only option for big creatures. Mono blue has a lot of scary massive blue creatures like Stormtide Leviathan, Inkwell Leviathan, Kederekt Leviathan, Lorthos, the Tidemaker.
Mono Blue needs mana rocks. Sol Ring of course, but also half a dozen others. You want 5-8 in the deck.
Creatures with enter the Battlefield abilities get extra value in a deck like this: Archaeomancer, Academy Researchers, ther Adept, thersnipe, Alhammarret, High Arbiter, Aspiring Aeronaut, Aven Fateshaper, Benthicore, Breaching Hippocamp
Blue also has a great number of untap mechanics that can give you some extra uses out of your commander: Aura of Dominion, Crab Umbra, Freed from the Real, Intruder Alarm, Pemmin's Aura, Second Wind
Lastly, these I recommend for Flavor and Awesome:Mass Polymorph, Polymorphous Rush, Polymorphist's Jest, Rite of Replication, Magus of the Future
