Is anybody else unable to add Ravica's guildgates onto their innovatory? It reads that the variation provided is not recognized but only one variation is provided.

Hey so I tried to post a brawl deck and the system gave me an error saying that the brawl format wouldn't allow for more than four (4) copies of a single card which is an issue because its singleton but the reason I came here. It said that I had to keep the prototype box checked because I had more than four (4) Persistent Partitioners in the deck. This is a rat colony/relentless rats card that states on the card that "A deck can have any number of cards named Persistent Partitioners" just thought I'd throw that in here because the site said to put it here in the forums.

Yesterday and today, I seem to keep hitting a site error when I try to go to the Rules Q&A section of the site. Every other link along the top works, and if someone responds to one of the Q&A threads I'm subscribed to then I see the notification and can get there. But clicking the link along the top bar itself just takes me to the error page.

Caerwyn says... #5

I am having the same issue as Kogarashi and was just about to post the same.

To provide more information, I have tried accessing the Rules Q&A on several different browsers (Explorer, Chrome, and Safari for iOS); two different computers on completely different networks, as well as iPhone over data; logged in and logged out; and in both regular and incognito windows.

The error was present in all situations.

AngryChewie says... #6

Chalice of the Void shows as a 2/2 in the playtest mode. Also, I haven't tested this with other cards and quantities, but the deckbuilder gave my Modern deck the 'legal' status even though I mistakenly put in 8x Goblin Rabblemaster rather than the maximum of 4. Might be missing a quantity check somewhere behind the scenes.

Atavistic says... #7

I'm trying to change the basics in one of my decks to the Simic Island and Forest from the Guild Kit, but if I choose that set in the editor it shows the Azorius and Gruul lands. Not a problem in itself, but if I try to type in the Gatherer IDs for the Simic Island (ATQ:460791) and Forest (ATQ:460792) they inexplicably default to the RNA basics instead.

Why is that happening, and can it be resolved?

February 13, 2019 11:35 a.m.

Zaes says... #8

Atavistic, try using the setID for those cards, rather than the GathererID instead. Also, I think the "ATQ" code is for the Antiquities set, which doesn't include any basic lands in that set. Consult the TappedOut Set Codes for the Guild kits, as some were created within TappedOut incorrectly.

Zaes says... #9

Ravnica Allegiance Forest (#264 in the set) incorrectly pulls a mountain card art on the on:hover card link. According to the raw HTML (below) Femme_Fatale added the incorrect png file to this record. Can you please fix?

You can see this in I can Bear seeing you play your deck--> Forest under the #Lands category, then inspect the Forest link with your browser's dev tools.

The decklist is pulling the TappedOut correct set code and set ID for this land's art.

Uh, that's not what is happening Zaes. Whatever code you are using is taking a DOM mountain and not the RNA forest. Make sure that you are using the right code and remember that RNA only has one printing so you don't need to try and input collectors number or gatherer ID for variation. The same issue is happening with the swamp/plains confusion.

I have not yet added all the basic land variations to any products that came before Shards of Alara. Of the ones after Shards, C16, HOP, M15 and ZEN are the ones I've yet to do. This is exactly how I can tell that these issues are happening because I haven't even touched RAV. So whatever basic you want from RAV won't be there.

Since you are a supporter of the site, you can check the images yourself by going to the set page, click the "add/fix card" button, typing the basic land name and scrolling down to see the image used.

EDIT: Also note that in the image links you posted above, it even tells you what set file the card image is presently sitting in.

AngryChewie - so far as I'm aware the site's legality check doesn't include card quantity (I've had the same experience with accidentally listing more than one unique card in an EDH deck).
Femme_Fatale can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 'legality' only checks format (e.g. currently Standard-legal) and banned lists.

When sorting by rarity, cards often go missing. I have a 60 card deck, but when sorting by rarity only 47 are shown

March 3, 2019 4:35 p.m.

Hellsing says... #15

SerrisMerosi : I have fixed the following cards that were missing rarity(as seen in your deck): Ghalta, Primal Hunger , Ravenous Chupacabra , Dusk Legion Zealot . And in the future it would be easier if you could link the faulty cards directly.

March 3, 2019 5:38 p.m.

SerrisMerosi says... #16

Hellsing: Thank you, I did not realize this was linked to the cards themselves!

March 4, 2019 2:55 p.m.

reaper527 says... #17

if there's a way to do this already, i'm completely missing it, but it would be REALLY helpful if there was a way to add a pre-con to our card collection.

being able to go in and say "add: commander 2018 {deck}" would be a lot easier than going through card by card (and more complete as well, since this would capture commons/uncommons, where as if i do it manually i'm only putting in the rares/mythics unless it's an uncommon with known value)

likewise on the library building front, we can export our library to csv and other formats, and this is awesome, but i'm not seeing any way to import a list like this into tapped out.

reaper527 just use the sync with inventory feature... the deck options

March 8, 2019 7:49 p.m.

reaper527 says... #19

is there a guide on what exactly the deck sync does?

based on the name, it sounds like that could make a mess VERY quickly and easily since it's doing a sync and not an add (so if it sees i have a card already that is also in a precon, is it going to simply not add it since it might think i was using the one i already had? not to mention the complications of making sure it's using the right edition of the cards).

March 8, 2019 9:39 p.m.

DerektheRed says... #20

reaper527 - I believe what yeaGO is suggesting is: Create a new deck, paste in the entire decklist, select 'sync with inventory' before you save, and viola - all the cards are in your inventory.

I do this with every pre-con I buy, fwiw.

March 9, 2019 7:09 p.m.

reaper527 says... #21

DerektheRed but this is going to lose track of what set it came from unless you go line by line pasting the info, isn't it? it's one thing to have the wrong set version in a deck list, but for an actual inventory of my cards, having the correct set is part of the point of inventorying them.

for example, lots of times when i'm building decks, i don't explicitly define the sets and it will link to masterpiece cards sometimes or an arbitrary automatically selected set. it's probably doing the newest printing of the cards which might work for new decks, but if i were to add the elspeth vs kiora i picked up recently, it would probably make a huge mess of the versions.

either way, this is the feature request thread. there might be workarounds to do this currently with the sync feature, but an official "add precon to library" feature would be a huge help if implemented as a new feature.

I can't add Vona, Butcher of Magan to my EDH deck. When I enter her name or fullname, Tappedout won't show me any hits. Any odeas why I got this problem?

March 14, 2019 9:17 a.m.

DerektheRed says... #23

reaper527 - I missed your intention the first time; you're right about the set issue. Also right that this is a feature request thread, not a workaround thread. I second your suggestion that a feature like this would be sweet.

Maybe a button that assigns the same set to all cards in a deck?

Death_Stapler says... #24

Hello,

I notice when I export a deck in the Multiverse id (.txt) format, that any card that doesn't specify a set has no multiverse id.

Could it be fixed so that any card with no set information defaults to the latest set so that the id of the card is not blank?

March 18, 2019 12:39 p.m.

ivaggione says... #25

Death_Stapler this will be fixed in the next couple days.

March 18, 2019 9:40 p.m.

Death_Stapler says... #26

ivaggione This would be great. I'm using the multiverse export with a Tabletop Simulator steam mod to download decks. Right now it only fully works if each card identifies which set it is from.

March 19, 2019 7:40 a.m.

Death_Stapler says... #27

I noticed that there is a multiverse id that is invalid when I exported this deck: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/06-07-18-qcj-ad-nauseum/

The card that is having the problem is the 3x Serum Visions. I believe it exports to multiverse id 501457.

https://api.scryfall.com/cards/multiverse/501457

{
  "object": "error",
  "code": "not_found",
  "status": 404,
"details": "No card found with the given ID or set code and collector number."
}

Are the multiverse ids verified when an export is performed?

March 20, 2019 7:41 a.m.

ivaggione says... #28

Death_Stapler Seems like some promo cards don't have a multiverse id even in scryfall's api. I went ahead and checked Serum Visions FNM printing (https://api.scryfall.com/cards/named?exact=serum%20visions&set=f15) and multiverse id is empty.

I'm not exactly sure what are you using export as multiverse for but maybe we can set the multiverse id for those promo cards as the latest printing one. If you find the correct multiverse id it can be updated in our database.

March 20, 2019 3:23 p.m.

Death_Stapler says... #29

ivaggione I'm using the multiverse id export to feed a tabletop simulator mod I wrote. It takes the slug of the deck and gets the multiverse export. It then goes to api.scryfall.com to get card images.

This is just an experiment for me. I don't expect tappedout.net to change their system to accommodate my needs. Just thought it would be nice if people could load a deck from tappedout.net directly into TTS.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1687264363

March 20, 2019 10:02 p.m.

Death_Stapler says... #30

ivaggione Do you know if there has been any progress on the multiverse id export?

March 23, 2019 10:56 a.m.

Death_Stapler says... #31

Would it be possible when exporting a deck to get the card image URLs that are on the tappedout.net site, that way when people use the TTS mod, they will get the correct image? Right now I'm just doing a search on the card name and it brings up the most recent set in scryfall, I believe.

March 25, 2019 8:21 a.m.

ivaggione says... #32

Death_Stapler in regards to cards with no set specified, you should be getting the latest set multiverse id in the export. For cards that don't have a multiverse id (like some FNM Promos) you won't get a multiverse id yet. We will review how we handle that later.

March 25, 2019 2:25 p.m.

Death_Stapler says... #33

ivaggione Looks great. I appreciate what you have done.

March 26, 2019 7:40 a.m.

Death_Stapler says... #34

ivaggione I notice that in this deck (https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/22-12-18-unstable-draft/) two of the cards with variations do not have a multiverse id listed. They are from the Unstable set.

From comparing the multiverse id and text export, it looks like it is these two cards:

Garbage Elemental C Ineffable Blessing B

March 26, 2019 9:40 a.m.

Death_Stapler says... #35

You know what would be nice is if you had a JSON export option that would contain the deck info along with the info for each card. Then if there isn't a multiverse id, there is still info on the card.

March 26, 2019 10:49 a.m.

Death_Stapler says... #36

Anyone have a thought on the possibility of getting a JSON export or maybe there is an API I'm not aware of.

March 28, 2019 5:38 p.m.

My alters aren't showing on my decks after I try to add them.

When adding an altered card to a decklist, submitting/saving the deck appears to be changing the way the card is written in the deck, which seems to make the alter images not show up afterwards. (Also as a note for the example below, the asterisks are on either side of the alter code. The comment uses them to make italicised formatting though, so they disappear in this comment)

For example, if I put an alter of Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip and put A=17941 beside it, like so:

1x Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh A=17941

Then after saving the deck, the alter image doesn't show up. When I go back in to edit the deck I can see that it has changed how the line is written to this:

1x Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh A: 17941

It seems to automatically change the "=" to a ": ", which I think (though I'm not certain) could be why the alters aren't showing up after saving a deck.

Related, the Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh promo set card's image (the SDCC 2015 one), and it's other side, are really low quality, which is the reason I tried to do an alter to get a nicer image. It would be awesome if it could be updated to a better picture?

April 13, 2019 1:42 a.m.

Hellsing says... #38

Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip seems to be working in comments though. Updated artwork with higher resolution, in the (000) promo set.

came across what appears to be a bug.

if you use the card inventory and set the "standard" filter for the format, it only returns cards from standard sets.

to clarify on the problem here, this means that if you have blood crypts from dissension, return to ravnica, and ravnica allegiance, the filter will ONLY return your ravnica allegiance copies, despite all 3 versions being standard legal.

April 18, 2019 4:38 p.m.
