Hello, new to MTG here.. After seeing Cauldron Familiar and Witch's Oven i have been searching for cards with similar vibes as these..

So anyone know any classical witchy / spooky cards? thanks!

Good question! Try going to scryfall.com and searching for witches there. Just see what comes up!

First off, welcome to Magic!

The most classic Halloween card would be All Hallow's Eve, but that card is rather pricey, so, if you intend to play with real cards, that might be impractical.

Magic has a whole lot of other fun cards though. Headless Horsemanand Frankenstein's Monster both depict classic spooky characters. There are all manner of Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, shades, and Spirits, any number of which could make a solid tribal deck (i.e. deck based around a single creature type). If you do a search for Black Wizards and/or Clerics, you will find a number of witches and cultists.

Lots of great options to choose from!

I’ve seen some solstice themed decks cycled a lot recently. You could try viewing what other users managed to come up with for some ideas to build off of.

Bogbrew Witch Festering Newt and Bubbling Cauldron are loads of fun. I play with Lingering Souls, Elixir of Immortality, and Angelic Accord.

Those cards you already mention sound like they would be awesome in a bogbrew deck.

Jar of Eyeballs and Brain in a Jar are also spooky fun.

Since you're new, check out cards from the magic sets Innistrad, Dark Ascension, and Avacyn Restored for Halloween-like cards. It's the classic gothic horror plane in magic. They did return to it later in Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon, but it's not as strongly of a gothic horror theme. From the Innistrad block you have cards like Army of the Damned, Grimgrin, Corpse-Born, Mikaeus, the Unhallowed (zombie version of Mikaeus, the Lunarch), Griselbrand, Grimoire of the Dead, Olivia Voldaren, Descent into Madness, Werewolves that transform, etc.

Just a few more; Season of the Witch, Black Cat, Bubbling Cauldron, Disturbed Burial, Desecrated Tomb, Reassembling Skeleton, Ghosts of the Damned, Haunted Crossroads,Gallows at Willow Hill, Bad Moon.

Can go to the gatherer and look for creature types like werewolf, zombie, scarecrow.

Or keywords like haunted, dead, grim, blood, etc.

Welcome to the game! I hope you enjoy it! May I introduce my favorite spooky card?

Triskaidekaphobia! The fear of the number 13. It’s amazingly themed, not to mention being spoopy.

Fun fact: tinybones doesn’t steal for greed, or for some noble cause. Tinybones steals because Tinybones has a family to feed, and they have giant appetites. That’s official wizards lore.

Check out my decks, I’ve got both a Haunted House deck and a Coven of Witches deck. Steal whatever ideas you want, and ask any questions you’d like to - welcome aboard!!! Note: if you’re looking to actually win, there are a lot of skilled players here too...

Shadows Over Innistrad was an hommage to HP Lovecraft's works. Definitely fitting for the plane of Innistrad and a Halloween type theme.

There's even a Cemetery Gate, Black Carriage and Runaway Carriage. Dawn of the Dead, Eater of the Dead and a Lord of the Undead. There is a creature type called nightmare which even includes a Nightmare. There's Childhood Horror.

Here to shill for my favorite vaguely spoopy horror-lite card: Suspicious Bookcase

I love the balance it strikes between being spooky and being comedic. That flavor text cracks me up every time.
