I thought it was pretty funny. I was however expecting the Dumb Ass-in-chief to be in the sideboard away from all the knowledge.

I think if you write down everything you need to do you will find you have time. Do the most brain intensive things first. Get good sleep. Eat healthy so you have the energy to stay on your game. Reward yourself for your success.

You're right to be mindful of big expenses, but I think you'll find after the shock of the cost wears off, you'll be happy with the piece of mind knowing your cards are safe. I bet you might even be more inclined to go to games. You could always buy used too.

Why not just invest in a pelican case? You say you've got thousands of dollars of cards. Spend a few hundred for a case. Or google waterproof box.

I think it's a mix of upvotes and user engagement.

Urza's Incubator will reduce cost to 2. Not great but there's another option.

It's kinda funny though. Stormtide Leviathan was one of the first sea beasts that I fell in love with. However, it prevents almost all of my beasts from attacking, so it doesn't really make sense to include it in the deck. I wish it had "creatures your opponents control" as a clause instead of a global effect. Perhaps in the future as I tweak the deck it might warrant an include. Until that time however, I will have to forgo the big beastie.
With regard to the no Sol Ring, I sort of have a love hate relationship with it. Early game it's great. Mid-Late game it's marginal. I like the idea of a turn 2 Arixmethes, the Slumbering Isle, however late game it's just colorless mana that I don't need. Maybe. As ads2972 pointed out, it might be a good safe bet.
Whatever the choices may be at the current moment, I will note all of your suggestions and in the future as this deck progresses I will refer to those cards as potential includes.
Thank you for taking the time to take a look and recommend cards. :) If you have any decks you want me to take a look at let me know. I'd be happy to paruse your choices.

Check it out, show some love, and suggest cards.
Deck : IT CAME FROM THE SURFACE
Still sticking to the idea of slamming big fat sea monsters so keep in mind the deck is ocean themed, and any suggestions that work in that realm will be most appreciated. I haven't yet looked into all the new simic merfolk, but if any pop into your head let me know.
Thanks all! -Adam

Thank you to everyone who has helped tweak and brainstorm on this deck with me. Thank you to everyone who has upvoted, and added it to their folders. I'm really happy with how this deck was playing, but couldn't pass up on the opportunity to give it a new commander.
In this case, the deck has gone simic, and is now being commanded by Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle.
Please check it out at IT CAME FROM THE SURFACE and throw in your two cents.
Thanks again. -Adam
