Love-in-Theory thanks for the vote. this was a silly deck I only half finished. It was born out of my love for Vortex Elemental and based on the mono-blue deck from standard many moons ago. Any ideas for it?

After seeing so many of you folks out there making curse decks I couldn't help but join in on the fun. In the deckbuilder though, to my surprise, "Curses" isn't one of the hub options. With how many are out there now, maybe it's time we had one? Too soon?

I don't think we need this, but I also despise Facebook, so I'm biased against anything that would make this site feel more like Facebook.

Wow two evil twins in one pack. That's flavorful and disappointing. Kcin: at least that bolas is in the family! haha

This should be updated as a g/w build now that Hungry Lynx is out.

I don't really buy packs anymore, but once in a while, when I'm getting groceries I'll grab a pack to crack. Of course I pulled an
. Worth pennies. Suddenly, I remember why I don't open packs anymore. Poop.
They say misery loves company, so what was a disappointing pull you've had recently?

I'm really exited to build a wizard brew with her. Have to add stuff like Diviner's Wand, Inspired Sprite and Docent of Perfection Flip for that wizard flavor. Nekusar, the Mindrazer was also my first general (though I don't have a deck with him anymore), so it would be nice to be able to play him for sentimental reasons, but not actually have the deck built around him. I think all the "dies" triggers will be fun too. Gives me an excuse to splurge on a Grave Pact. Not to mention this is the first real reason I have ever had to run my single copy of Sundial of the Infinite.

For the first Wanderwine Prophets, would I even need another merfolk though for the champion trigger? Does this work?: When Wanderwine Prophets enters, the champion trigger goes off. Before it goes to resolve I use the eminence ability to make the clone. Then the copied wanderwine's ability goes off. I champion the original. Then I don't champion a merfolk for the original, but it's not around to have to sac it.

Oooo ok. Awesome! Thanks everyone!

I don't fully understand how it could go infinite without kiki. Can you explain a bit more detailed?
August 12, 2017 1:36 a.m.
I was looking into wizards since I'm planning on getting the Grixis wizards pre-con. I'm not really into infinite stuff, but this seemed fun. The general's ability:
"Eminence - Whenever another nontoken Wizard enters the battlefield under your control, if Inalla, Archmage Ritualist is in the command zone or on the battlefield, you may pay 1. If you do, create a token that's a copy of that Wizard. The token gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step."
My thought was, if I had a merfolk sub-theme I could play Wanderwine Prophets, use the general for a hastey one and swing for a free turn. Alongside Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker this could result in unlimited free turns.
Does that actually work or am I missing something? Do you think it'd be worth bothering to go for a merfolk sub-theme in a grixis wizards build to include this combo?

Hopefully someone else chimes in. Big green fatties isn't my forte. I like the idea though. That creature is begging for abuse

Oh ok. That makes a lot more sense. You could use Vessel of Endless Rest to get it back in the library. It's a one shot though, and not the best rock for mono green. Oh and no shuffle effect so double poop

Why would you wanna put the wurm back into the library after casting it?

Card spewing here but: Rite of the Raging Storm, and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs. I like to use War Cadence to prevent my opponent from blocking another opponent's onlsaught if it's in my best interest. Still catches people off guard. Glacial Chasm will also make attacking you useless. It's worth the life payment in my experience, and if it gets too costly, or you want to attack, just don't pay the upkeep cost.
