Don't make skids in this pair of Y-fronts.

This is currently my standard deck. As you can see, it is quite different as opposed to Heroic and Burn, but is quite effective at obliterating the adversary early.

The deck:

Legion Loyalist - you gotta love this little goblin. He swings as soon as possible, and provides all our guys with first strike, trample and the gift to screw token decks over.

Soldier of the Pantheon - Nowadays, we see decks that use two or three colours, such as American Control and Naya Aggro. This 2/1 legend for one mana has pro-multicoloured, and benefits us whenever our enemy casts something multicoloured.

Firefist Striker - BANG!!! And your opponent's nose is broken. This hunk makes the combat phase harder (giggity) for your opponent, as he or she will have less creatures to block with.

Stoke the Flames - Nice removal, as it helps the deck be less screwed when facing a Blood Baron of Vizkopa or Stormbreath Dragon (my nemesis). Also, it will see more play when Mizzium Mortars rotates out.

Boros Elite - This sexy beast can become a 3/3 with battalion triggered. Yes, please!

Akroan Hoplite - People underestimate this guy. Why? He's an extra creature that can swing in for a massive amount of damage when joined with THE LEGION!!!

Brimaz, King of Oreskos - Good attacker, good blocker. What's more, you get a free Cat Soldier whenever he attacks or blocks!

Iroas, God of Victory - This is THE beefcake, with muscles people never knew existed!! Devotion on this guy is fairly easy to accomplish. He basically pulls a Gruul War Chant on each attacking creature you control, which is freaking awesome! But he doesn't stop there, oh no! All damage dealt to the attacking creatures is PREVENTED! PREVENTED! Get ready to poop yourselves, burn players! All on top of a marvellous 7/4 body.

Boros Charm - Best out of all charms, in my opinion, but I'm sure you all have other thoughts. Why do I think this? 1) It deals extra damage when necessary. 2) Sayonara, Abrupt Decay, Supreme Verdict, etc, etc. 3) It deals more damage when pumping up a creature, for instance, double-striking Iroas as a creature is pretty amazing (probably not for your opponent.)

Chained to the Rocks - Basically, Banishing Light, but cheaper, provided that you have a Mountain. Be ready, Polukranos, these are some chains you will never escape from!

Spear of Heliod - We'll perform a prostate exam on our opponent with this long implement; Glorious Anthem, check. Removal of threatening creatures, check. Bad-ass artwork and border, check.

The SB:

Ajani's Presence - Nice protection, and also counters effects like Hero's Downfall and Supreme Verdict.

Glare of Heresy - Most effective when facing White Weenie, but can shred Elspeth into pieces.

Gods Willing - More protection. Operates best against mono-devotion, and counters other effects like Bile Blight and Void Snare.

Nyx-Fleece Ram - The aggro mirror. Works quite good against control, too.

Phyrexian Revoker - Superfriends and control, against cards like Jace, Architect of Thought , AEtherling and Elspeth, Sun's Champion

Warleader's Helix - More removal, which gains me life. Primarily SB against control.

That's the deck. Please upvote or suggest any changes!

Well, didn't do bad for the first time at a fairly local collectable shop. I took out the proxies for LTF and Iroas for a few Halberdiers and 2x Hoplites. I went 2-2 overall, and dropped out at the last round, because I needed to return home.

First Round: R/G Monsters (I believe) - 2-0 win

The first game, I managed to get out enough creatures to survive. Also, I used Boros Charm to be able to kill off his Domri and Xenagos. Swung in eventually for the win.

Second game, the same pretty much happened. (Charmed to meet you, Xenagos)

Second Round: Rakdos Minotaurs - 2-1 win

First game, got smashed by double Kragma Warcaller.

Second game, got him with Madcap Skills with Akroan Hoplite along with double strike.

Third game, swung out with the LEGION while on his turns, he had to attack with Deathbellow Raider.

Third Round: Esper Control - 2-1 loss

First game: He exiled my chances of surviving with Ashiok, the Nightmare Weaver, then minus-eighted Jace to get my Brimaz, minus-sevened Elspeth to swing all out and win.

Second game: Akroan Hoplite, Madcap Skills, Boros Charm, yada yada yada.

Third game: Same as with the first game, but with AEtherling as the added ingredient.

Fourth Round: Mono-Red Burn - 2-0 loss

First game: Lightning Strike, Shock, Magma Jet, Ash Zealot beatdown. Nuff said.

Second game: Same thing, pretty much... and died.

So, to recap, didn't do too bad, got a pack, everybody wins.
