Smash Up Battlebox

Smash Up Battlebox is a format where players randomly select two of fifteen $25 Budget half-decks featuring each of the Partner Commanders and combine them into a single EDH deck. Discover the synergies and combos between the various combinations of decks!

Budget Kydele for Smash Up Battlebox focused on drawing extra cards and triggering abilities on card draw.

Failed Iterations include:

• Hydra Tribal featuring Hydra Broodmaster and Nimbus Swimmer - Failed due to requiring too many specific pieces from this deck to function. We needed consistent extra draw engines that didn't require mana, Kydele in play, and hydras in our hand to cast, and silly/weird untap creature spells. Only then, with all those pieces in place, were we able to cast big 16/16 Hydras easily. But being cut into by another non-synergistic deck left us with a pile of jank cards.

Gameplay: Kydele was paired with Ikra Shidiqi on the Trinisphere's Smash Up episode
