The more controlling or tempo twin combo decks have been gaining traction. Rather than constantly forcing an all-in on assembling or protecting the combo, the key is instead to operate much like a normal tempo deck. Your opponent is forced to play awkwardly in order to keep up disruption for you threatening to combo them, but you can merely beat face or burn them out.
