Sideboard

This is my Esper Deck that I have been using for quite a while now and am posting it for the first time. Cards I know I am missing are Snapcaster Mage, however I do not have that kind of money to spend so please do not suggest it.

This deck has performed quite well for me as of late. Even though I run a 1-2 fewer lands than builds I see. The consistency is there and I do get that cards I need. The side boards provides good utility against aggro, planewalker heavy decks, and some added removal if I so need it.

Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated. This has become one of my more favorite decks to play as of late and anything to make it better would be fantastic!

I went from an Azorius Mill to an Esper control with Mill as the main win con. This has proved to be a more exciting deck to play.

Game Day Results 05/26/13 5th at Dangerous Gentlemen

Round 1 vs Boros Aggro (1-2) Game 1-Was very close. He had creatures out early, but luckily I had some removal and stall to wipe the board and keep his creatures at bay. Had him down to 3 cards left and that was a fault on my part forgetting to Nephalia Drownyard on his turn.

Game 2-Was much more my tempo. I got to control the board with Tamiyo, the Moon Sage locking down his Boros Reckoners and jace mill him over and over again. Ended up swinging with a 30/30 Consuming Aberration for the win.

Game 3-Again very close much like the first. Just couldn't top deck the card I needed to finish the game

Round 2 vs Human's & Angels (2-0) Game 1-This was my buddy's angels deck that I hate playing because of its consistency of playing big creatures very quickly and then smashing you in the face before you know it. Luckily I had good stable hands and was able to control the board of his heavy hitters

Game 2-Much like the first.

Round 3 vs Orzhov Extort (2-1) Game 1-I was able to stall out the game big time with my control cards and ended up main boarding Sorin, Lord of Innistrad just for kicks. Ended up generating 16 vampire tokens and swung for leathal.

Game 2-He sided in Illness in the Ranks to prevent me from using tokens. I sided in Dimir Charm and Devour Flesh to deal with his board early, but i ran out of juice and he won a close match.

Game 3-Controled the board and Jace, Memory Adept hit the board and starting hitting him hard. milled for the win.

Round 4 vs Jund Aggro (1-2) Game 1-I find that I have to do the most creative thinking vs aggro decks and unfortunately game 1 did not provide. he came out strong and was able to have a stable board presence early.

Game 2-My opponent had to mulligan down to 5 cards and took a hand that he really couldn't use. Dropped Blind Obedience and away I went. Ended up milling with Jace for the win.

Game 3-My opponent had to mulligan to 6 and I had another Blind Obedience in my hand. luckily he was not able to play anything on turn 2 and I took over from there. Ended the Game swinging with a 24/24 Aberration for the win.

Overall, I am quite please with the results and look forward to rotation when it happens.
