Welcome to my take on Tom Ross's U/W Heroic archetype that has been growing in popularity lately.

The basic premise of this deck is to swing through your opponent's creatures with the help of auras and instants that give your creatures unblockable, flying and protection (buffing your Heroic creatures in the process).

The main themes of the deck are:

Draw Cards: Ordeal of Thassa, Stratus Walk, Defiant Strike

Evasion Cards: Gods Willing, Stratus Walk, Aqueous Form

Scry Cards: Battlewise Hoplite, Gods Willing, Aqueous Form, Temple of Enlightenment

Heroic Creatures: Favored Hoplite, Hero of Iroas, Battlewise Hoplite

The Sideboard:

Lagonna-Band Trailblazer comes in very handy against red decks with lots of burn and against Bile Blight. He can also be a wonderful blocker against most aggro and some midrange creatures.

Negate can counter removal spells, Planeswalkers, enchantments, and artifacts, (but especially Crackling Doom) without relying on having a creature with 4 or greater power.

Triton Tactics saves two of my guys from Anger of the Gods or Drown in Sorrow, but it also allows me to block creatively to either kill or tap attacking creatures.
