Devotion is the name of the game. Ultimately, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx , can make great things happen with this deck.

Assuming that no creature of yours is removed by turn three, you can have a devotion of four to five. Slap a nyx down turn four, and you can pretty much play the rest of your hand. This deck does lethal damage between turns four-six consistently. Now, this deck, in my opinion is more effective for a few reasons. Awaken the Ancient , will dick your opponent up hardcore. Mainly, because it isn't seen often in my local meta and 7/7 haste by turn four is pretty sketchy to say the least. Also, the level of haste is satisfactory. As far as creatures go, you have your staples, i.e. Ash Zealot , Rakdos Cackler , Chandra's Phoenix , etc. However, the piece that saves my butt on numerous occasions is Mugging . You have a potential creature removal, or you can make a huge creature sit on the sidelines with his thumb up its ass while you go to pound town on your opponent's life. I love the card and it is so underrated.

Please help me make this deck a monster. I want to take it to tournament this week to see how it does. I have only Ash Zealot to acquire for this deck and it is complete. I will post results if it doesn't suck. If it does, I will weep.

This deck has earned a 2nd place and a 3rd place at tournament. This week, I got third and it was only barely

Game 1: Simic counters 2-1 W:

The first game I got my asshole stretched beyond belief as my opponent had god like draws and I didn't get crap. The next two games the deck ran as it should and I won by turn six both games.

Game 2: Boros Aggro 2-1 L

The first game, my opponent went first and beat me because of turn advantage and I also didn't draw quite what I needed. Second game, i stomped him right back. Third game, I lost barely. I only needed to play one Lightning Strike on him during my upcoming turn and I had it won but he killed me with a Chandra's Phoenix that had double strike compliments of Boros Charm.... That ass!

Game 3: Rakdos Aggro 2-0 W

My opponent didn't draw land both games and I won easily. A shallow victory but oh well

Game 4: BUG superfriends 2-0 W

I burned and swung with creatures both games. he had zero creatures on the fields and I bypassed his planeswalkers and killed him dead. If the second duel had resulted in a win, I would have been in first... Oh well, time to go in the corner and sadsturbate
