A continous work-in-progress, as decks often are, for Scapeshift in Modern. Gifts Ungiven adds either speed or stability to the combo part, and is essentially a more powerful alternative to running more/smaller filter effects.

Gifts packages (pre-board) include, prominently: Scapeshift/Snapcaster/Witness > Find Scapeshift Tribe-Elder/Search/Farseek > Add a land (enable faster Scapeshift)* Izzet Charm/Gigadrowse/Remand > Add some oumph to the counterwars (forcing through Scapeshift)

Post-board, the answers are diversified both to allow some overlaps (in the case of artifacts/enchantment hate, f.ex.) and to allow for a giftpackage that "should beat the matchup". Also, creating Gift packages without the "help" of Snapcaster Mage really makes a huge difference tempo-wise, which can be crucial. Courser of Kruphix can be considered a third Baloth, but is also a card I would love to squeeze in against some slower matchups.

The "packages" to gifts for:

Boardwipe+ Firespout, Anger of the Gods, Slagstorm

Countermagic+ Pact of Negation, Swan Song, Bound // Determined

Blood Moon+ Destructive Revelry, Krosan Grip, Spring Cleaning

Affinity+ Ancient Grudge, Creeping Corrosion, Destructive Revelry

Updates Add

After realizing that the reason to run Serum Visions is to improve the mana curve/efficiency, changed 3 Peer through Depths and a land to 4 Serum Vision.
