Sideboard

This list is different than many lists you may have seen. It is really similar to this list that Jim Davis played on stream (also in this youtube vod of the stream.) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dl5qZvlTC6c&t=314s

To start, cheap counters pave the way for Blood Moon. This is used to either hard lock your opponent or at the very least, "tax" them. The plan is, through Blood Moon and other spells like Remand, Vendilion Clique, and Spreading Seas you can prevent your opponent from getting spells through and make room from your own game enders to close the game out.

Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Stormbreath Dragon are there to fill that role. Chandra can provide card advantage that may lead to a fairly game ending emblem. Stormbreath is a fair clock that dodges Path to Exile and can Monstrous to close out the game faster if necessary. Clique and Snapcaster Mage can also chip in for damage and speed the game up a little.

A few counterspells and removal in the form of Cryptic Command, Spell Snare, Harvest Pyre, Lightning Bolt, etc, all help make sure nothing important gets through or sticks.

Fair warning: like the combo versions of Blue Moon, this isnt exactly a control deck. In fact, this deck might look like one, but this deck is more interested in locking the opponent out for a few turns and then going hard with threats to close the game as quickly as possible. This deck isnt built to grind the opponent out of resources and win 10-15 turns in the game (although it definitely could depending on the matchup). Locking out the opponent will only last so long. Once your opponent starts finding basics/removal for Blood Moon, they will be able to stick threats more easily and you cant rely on your other spells forever.

Any suggestions and discussions are welcome. Feel free to ask questions. But, I am no means a pro player or even that experienced with the deck. This is just my main deck that I play with when Im around friends or at my LGS. I can share some insight with the matchups Ive encountered, but it you are looking for pro guidance, you should search elsewhere.
