Roc Egg

Creature — Bird Egg

Defender (This creature can't attack.)

When this dies (is put into a graveyard from the battlefield), create a 3/3 white Bird creature token with flying.

nbarry223 I was trying to see if there was a way I could trigger Roc Egg multiple times. Kind of like a flicker effect but from the graveyard instead of the hand. Persist style cards might be a good route to look into. I forgot that ruling (cards can enter play with -1/-1 counters, resolve, and then be sent to the graveyard)

Dead_Blue_ I saw this card. Would work perfectly for Roc Egg. Only thing is now I have to figure a way to sack the egg on demand if my opponent wont sack it or cant sack it. Any suggestions would be helpful.

There are several cards that seem like odd inclusions are Urabrask, Heretic Praetor, Rukh Egg, Roc Egg, Marauding Raptor. Urabrask because you don't want to be playing cards, the plan is to cheat them right? If you exile a creature card then hopefully you have the mana to play, eliminate the risk. You could put in the other urabrask, Urabrask the Hidden. The eggs cards do look like a good idea, especially since you also get a token from them, but Atla makes eggs already and maskwood nexus would help make all creatures eggs anyways. There are better options to include than eggs that you could get Atla. For Marauding Raptor, you play a good amount of dinos, but does it get big enough to warrant a slot? If you were able to get all your dinos out (not thinking of maxwood nexus) it would be a 22/3. That's big, but not a slot in the deck big. I would be interested in hearing your reasoning for it's inclusion. Other creatures you could replace it with is Godsire, Hornet Queen, Worldspine Wurm. Let me know what your thoughts are!

An Arcane Signet will benefit you immensely in nearly every deck you make.

Other than that, Roc Egg -> Awakening Zone?

This looks fun, great job. Maybe add in either some egg creatures, e.g. Roc Egg , Dragon Egg etc. or try Maskwood Nexus . Atla is propably the best commander to make use of it.

Hey, well done for your first Commander deck. You have good card sense on a budget and seem to already understand the importance of mana curve :)

Open the Armory can get Skullclamp or Animate Dead . Court of Grace can create flying tokens, either an Angel or a Spirit and it can be repeatable draw with the monarch. Archon of Justice has a powerful die trigger with Teysa. Sun Titan can be repeatable reanimation and 3 CMC or less gives you many options of permanents to reanimate. Titan is excellent with Animate Dead .

Swords to Plowshares is a staple instant removal spell for white, but because Teysa is a Human then Dire Tactics is a less than $0.50 option. Generous Gift is a versatile instant removal spell. Austere Command is a versatile board wipe. Fanatical Devotion is a sac outlet for repeatable protection from most removal and in combat. Mentor of the Meek can be repeatable draw when creating 1/1 tokens.

Roc Egg is a Bird Egg (circa 2019) listed as Bird.
Trufflesnout has no card text or subtype.

Also important to note: the triggered ability is part of Atla Palani, not the egg tokens she makes, which is why nothing happens if Atla Palani is not on the battlefield when the eggs die.

Related to this, it doesn't have to be one of Atla Palani's egg tokens necessarily in order to trigger her ability; any creature with the type "Egg" will trigger it. At the moment, this includes Dragon Egg, Ludevic's Test Subject  Flip, Mysterious Egg, Roc Egg, Rukh Egg, Summoner's Egg, and Chicken Egg if playing with Un-set cards, as well as anything with "all creature types" like the various Changelings and Mistform Ultimus. (Not all of the listed cards show "Egg" on the type line, but the Oracle text in the Gatherer includes it.)
