Enchantment
At the beginning of your end step, each opponent loses 1 life and you gain 1 life.

Creeping Bloodsucker may be up this deck's alley. And since you're already running Ill-Gotten Inheritance, you might also be interested in Dogged Pursuit.

You may be interested in cards like Creeping Bloodsucker, Dogged Pursuit, and/or Ill-Gotten Inheritance. All guaranteed triggers every one of your turns they're on the battlefield.

Creeping Bloodsucker might be fun in this. It's basically a free extort every turn.
There's also Dogged Pursuit and Ill-Gotten Inheritance. They're not quite a full extort, but pretty close, and do the job for your relevant triggers every turn.
Just a couple things I'd recommend checking out. I also enjoy drain synergies like this.
notcapps on spells spells and more spells

so the first thing i think you should do is add some ritual spells like Dark Ritual and Jeska's Will dark ritual will give you 4 black mana for free and jeskas will will give you an 20 cards you can cast from exile and a whole ton of mana, tutors will also give you card advantage when you really need it, one of my personal favorites thats more budget is Grim Tutor, but if you want to break the bank or use proxies (ew) Demonic Tutor is your best bet. as far as lands go, Grixis Panorama is a really stellar card in tandem with cards like Smoldering Marsh because its a mountian and a swamp, you can search for that when you crack the panorama, other examples include but are not limited to, Sunken Hollow Watery Grave Blood Crypt Steam Vents and the original true dual lands, which are too expensive to really even mention. i would personally trade out Dogged Pursuit for something like Exquisite Blood and also consider putting in some boardwipes like Toxic Deluge and alternate wincons such as Exsanguinate take the Ancient Carp out of the deck too, it has no flavor text and dosent contribute anything for the 5 mana youre paying for it. Aetherflux Reservoir is a great card in any storm deck, because youre gonna gain an incredible amount of life with all the spells youre casting. make sure you put more counterspells in, such as Counterspell and if you want something really fun, try Counterbalance, its one of my personal favorite cards and i run it in almost all my blue decks. Take out Dwindle for something like Imprisoned in the Moon and you can cast it on someones commander and they can no longer play their commander as it is now a land :) take out the Falthis, Shadowcat Familiar and replace it with something like a Niv-Mizzet, Parun for some more card draw and board threats, and make sure that at the end of the game your having fun my dude, at the end of the day winning is important but having fun is even more important. Welcome to EDH!

I've been working on my own version of this set, and I gotta say you made some great choices.
Some suggestions:
- If you're maybeboarding $30+ cards, add Exquisite Blood; you can go infinite with Sanguine Bond.
- I run a Breathkeeper Seraph as commander protection. You can alternatively try/include Gift of Immortality for double the protection.
- Some other life-gain/drain to consider: Dogged Pursuit, Ajani's Mantra, and Cleric Class
- I also run cheap fog effects to help out when I'm struggling with card draw: Holy Day, Riot Control, Mandate of Peace(love this one), Batwing Brume(Also great), Swords to Plowshares, Generous Gift
- Some miscellaneous cards that I also run:
- Elixir of Immortality - Cheap lifegain, and recover it and your graveyard.
- Grand Abolisher - $$$, but your opponents can't act on your turn.
- Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant Flip - Autoflip in Commander, prevents damage to all your creatures. Makes you immune to deathtouch, basically.
- Platinum Angel - Obvious reasons, but not a must-have.
- Profane Procession Flip is fun, but it's not often I get to really use it.
- I also run Bruna, the Fading Light Meld and Gisela, the Broken Blade Meld because the meld effect is busted: Brisela, Voice of Nightmares Meld Meld
Otherwise, I love it, and I'll be using some of this in mine!
Nayru_Incarnate on orzhov life gain

Just a heads up to start with, you marked this as standard, it should be marked as modern. Using cards from your maybe board, I’d say get rid of both Font of Vigor as it is simply not Avery good card (it’s expensive for what it does and straight life gain once isn’t too worth using the space,) and replace them with the Cleric Class and Dogged Pursuit in your maybe board. I would also get rid of the Drudge Skeletons and throw in the Kor Celebrant You may as well throw out a plains for the Skyclave Cleric Flip, and Dawnbringer Cleric’s removal is more useful than Soul Shepherd’s exiling for life.

So fun! I personally like passive lifegain triggers in the form of enchantments. There are a few cheap 4 cmc pieces that could work well for you.
Revenge of Ravens dissuades people from attacking you at its worst, and costs them life at best.
Ill-Gotten Inheritance triggers simply on your upkeep, and Dogged Pursuit triggers simply on your endstep. I personally love this combo. Bleeding people for 4 passively on your turn without casting a single spell is nice.
I built a budget version of Dina - if you're interested in trimming down some of your cost to build IRL, check it out here: Dina's Deadly Designs Inc..
Sinq_ on Does hexproof protect me from …
I have Teyo, the Shieldmage in my deck and I'm wondering what things hexproof actually works against. As far as I know, it should protect me from spells like Soul's Fire , as this requires a target, but does it protect against Ill-Gotten Inheritance and Dogged Pursuit ? The difference being that these say things like "Each opponent" rather than "target opponent"
Does the phrase "Each opponent" just separately target each opponent, or are they target-less?
