This can be a centralised place where most of the discussion around Commander 2015 spoilers takes place.
The Wizards announcement with the release date and more details is here
So here we go:
Another year of commander precons and another year of excitement. What are you looking forward to? What do you hope for? What would you really dislike?
This one dodges wraths. The creatures are put onto the battlefield at the end step. This also allows you to block before casting it. It's a lot more flexible.

So will anyone else be playing this in a few EDH decks?
November 4, 2015 2:50 p.m.
I'll test it out in some of mine, that's for sure. The biggest issue I have with it, is you need a pretty high creature density, and they can't be little wimpy creatures or you could get blown out by your own card. It should be fun in over the top style decks, though.

Who do you guys think is the strongest commander?
November 4, 2015 2:52 p.m.
RedUndead40 says... #6
The_Admaster, Ezuri for sure. He's the only one that can get 8+ counters from a single card like Avenger of Zendikar. Not to mention he can get up to infinite turns with a Sage of Hours, or all the other stupidly good combos with him. Fathom Mage gives ridiculous draw, Viridian Joiner gets ridiculous mana, etc
November 4, 2015 2:56 p.m.
I like 'Meren of Clan Nel Toth,' I can't wait to test her with Birthing Pod, though I'm not sure I would use her as a Commander, TBH. I'll agree that Ezuri is probably the best for actual commanding purposes.

I will for sure run it in my Jhoira deck as well as my merfolk deck. Thinking it is mainly going to be in Jhoira as another means to get out Eldrazi in a quick way.
exile a Jhoira's Timebug, Aeon Chronicler, and Rift Elemental for a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Blightsteel Colossus, and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre?
YES PLZ! then run like hell when the rest of the table hates you.

So that new Synthetic Destiny card....what if you have more than half of the creatures in your deck out on the field when you cast it? My blue decks only run around 10-12 creatures. I'm just curious.
November 4, 2015 3:08 p.m.
I would assume that you sort of mill yourself out but don't really because you're not actually drawing?
November 4, 2015 3:09 p.m.
"If the number of creatures you exile is greater than the number of creature cards remaining in your library, you'll wind up revealing your entire library, putting all creature cards revealed that way onto the battlefield, then shuffling your library."
-Gatherer ruling on Mass Polymorph, which is similar.
November 4, 2015 3:13 p.m.
The_Admaster: Ezuri will be absurd, but Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest has a lot of potential with infinite combos
November 4, 2015 3:14 p.m.
I really like that Blue instant and will be putting into my Blue decks pronto. It's exactly the type of card that Vorel of the Hull Clade wants, even if all my creatures are getting exiled.
November 4, 2015 5:15 p.m.
It's better than polymorph cuz you don't get the creatures till end to turn so it kind of sorta protects you from wrath.
November 4, 2015 5:40 p.m.
I want to play that blue spell in a five color token bananaza stax build. Dream is all of my Jade Mage tokens are gonna die and i'm like "oh no!" and then I end up with these:
Thragtusk
Avenger of Zendikar
Wurmcoil Engine
Mitotic Slime
Reef Wurm
Kresh the Bloodbraided
Rhys the Redeemed
Myr Battlesphere (maybe)
Solemn Simulacrum (value)
Eternal Witness (Gotta get back my shiny new blue spell)
Rune-Scarred Demon (Gotta find that Eternal Witness or Goblin Bombardment)
Tymaret, the Murder King
Sun Titan
Glissa, the Traitor

Really looking forward to Meren of Clan Nel Toth. Scourge of Nel Toth also looks fun with Ghoulcaller Gisa.

Overwhelming Stampede on a stick is pretty damn good. Don't have a Craterhoof Behemoth and need a placeholder? Here you go. Have room for both? Even better. Grab them both with Tooth and Nail while you have Concordant Crossroads or Akroma's Memorial in play lol.

Was this posted yet? I didn't see it but maybe it was in one of the broken links.

It's been discussed but I don't think anyone posted a picture of it.

New card up. 3B 4/2 zombie wizard. When it dies draw X lose X. X is the number of creatures in target player's graveyard.
omnomnomnom zombie tribal stuff

The zombie wizard in question:

Also, say hello to one fat, greedy ghost.

Teysa is related to that? Gross.

6 counters seems like a lot for a mythic but I suppose his low casting cost makes up for it a bit.
It always bugs me when spirits don't have flying... this would have been bonkers if it did though.
November 5, 2015 12:41 a.m.
Pathbreaker Ibex
4GG
Creature - Goat
Whenever Pathbreaker Ibex attacks, creatures you control gain trample and get +X/+X until end of turn, where X is the greatest power among creatures you control.
omg Worldspine Wurm....

For Karlov, does his ability trigger for each 1 life gained or each instance of life gained?
Ex. If I played Rest for the Weary, would he get two +1/+1 counters or eight +1/+1 counters?
November 5, 2015 1 a.m.
LittleBlueHero: Seems fairly balanced to me, considering its lower CMC and how many easy ways there are to gain life. Heck, just throw him in Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, and watch the counters pile up. Curve of Soul Warden into this guy would be insane, especially if anyone at the table is playing tokens.
I could see Karlov getting broken somehow... No clue how, but I don't have nearly the time/effort/knowledge of magic to know. Anyway, I like it. Powerful.
November 5, 2015 1:01 a.m.
2: It's 2 per instance of lifegain, not per life point gained.
November 5, 2015 1:01 a.m.
StealthyGunnar: It will be one trigger per instance. 4 life at once, as per your example, will give 2 counters. Four life from Soul Warden due to four creatures entering the battlefield will give 8 counters.
Also, them darn ninjas...
November 5, 2015 1:02 a.m. Edited.
Karlov as a lifegain voltron commander? This could be interesting. If only he had flying....
November 5, 2015 1:05 a.m.
If only Karlov would ever be legal in modern, I could swap him in place of one of my Ajani's Pridemates.. oh well. Really liking these spoilers so far, seems to be a lot of good stuff in these commander precons. PhyEzuri is going to be fun to build around. Any thoughts on what the mana bases are going to look like?
November 5, 2015 1:13 a.m.
@Panda213 Indeed. I've always wondered why the cards are only legal in eternal formats. They could certainly justify allowing them in Modern. The only possible argument I could see is that EDH is itself an eternal format, but that shouldn't affect newly minted cards included in Commander products.
November 5, 2015 1:24 a.m.
I do like Karlov a lot. I mean I probably wouldn't play it because I think
still needs more tools, but I like it a lot.
November 5, 2015 1:24 a.m.
Panda213: I'm guessing decent but not great. The new commander land will probably be in all 5. Other than that, maybe bounce lands, guildgates, life-gain lands (Khans/Fate), stuff like that. Maybe one more expensive dual land (fingers crossed for the enemy fetches, but that is a long-shot at best, I think).

So one of the comments on MythicSpoiler suggested that WOTC is trying to speed EDH up.
What do you think about this? Do you think it to be true? If so, how do you respond to such a thought? Do you like the 2-hour grinders like the one I just had? If you disbelieve it, why?
Just curious...
November 5, 2015 4:19 a.m.
@ buildingadeck I doubt WotC reads that much into the speed of Commander. Besides, the format is already as fast as you want it to be. Balanced casual budget matches of six people can easily last 25 turns. Conversely, some finely tuned combo decklists (Ad Nauseam Zur, Boonweaver Giant Karador combo) have the potential to win on turn one. The decks can still be ground down by control players and mana denial, but at competitive tables, games almost never go past turn eight. It all depends on your meta and how much you want to invest / proxy in the format.

Black Market is getting a reprint!! Now I can get the copies I need cheaper.
November 5, 2015 6:52 a.m.
Black market reprint - also on magicspoiler.com
November 5, 2015 7:29 a.m. Edited.
I'm sad. Each time commander comes around they reprint a card I paid over $10 for. My value goes down each year.
But if I stop being petty.. Shinx got spoiled.
November 5, 2015 8:18 a.m.

Flying
Whenever you cast a spell, put the cards in your hand on the bottom of your library in any order, then draw that many cards.
November 5, 2015 8:20 a.m.
Arjun is....interesting. Super fun with Psychosis Crawler.
November 5, 2015 8:21 a.m.
We also have the white Confluence.

I don't know how I feel about this one...
November 5, 2015 8:22 a.m.
15 life for

seems like the best option and that seems lackluster. I don't like it. It's just so weak compared to the
and
ones.
November 5, 2015 8:30 a.m.
I think the best option is putting 6 power into play for

. Lifegain is only good in dedicated lifegain decks, and exiling enchantments can only be relevant every now and then.
I like this baby craterhoof.
