This deck started out as a "Paradox Engine is cool, let's try to make it work" list, and slowly evolved over time into another attempt at the Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter combo. I feel like I'm getting pretty close to a workable list, but am stuck with consistency issues which I feel could be alleviated with a strong backup wincon.

Right now I'm looking for constructive feedback as to where I should take the list (besides the bin, I'm stubborn like that). I'm willing to make pretty dramatic overhauls, but I want the core to remain a Scepter deck that could perform in a modern meta (FNM).

Skeleton of a Primer

The core combo here is to imprint Dramatic Reversal onto an Isochron Scepter after dropping a couple mana-dorks in order to infinitely tap-untap Scepter and the dorks.

The traditional way this can lead to a win with the current list is to deal infinite damage with Zhur-Taa Druid. Alternatively, a third mana-dork gives you infinite mana.

Kiora's Follower on the other hand, while also functioning as an extra mana-dork, can untap Isochron Scepter which allows for scenarios where, if Dramatic Reversal doesn't come up, other spells can be just as viable. (IE Lightning Helix)

Glittering Wish is an attempt at a toolbox for Game 1. Currently my favorite and most promising card it finds is actually Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. Ramp up, grab him if things aren't pulling together quite right, drop him on the board and interact with Dramatic Reversals cast from hand as well as Kiora's Follower.

Targets for Isochron Scepter:

-Remand: An attempt to slowly draw cards while preventing opponent's plays.

-Muddle the Mixture: A backup to Remand that's true purpose is the transmute

-Lightning Helix: Board control/stall as well as a conditional alt-wincon if I simply can never find a Dramatic Reversal.

-Dramatic Reversal: Primary combo card

Muddle the MixtureThe primary purpose for this card is it's transmute. It can find any piece to this combo if you can't find it otherwise, or is a decent counterspell on its own.

Primary concerns for this list:

Isochron Scepter dependant: I feel like the deck has poor options as a backup to simply failing to find a Scepter, or losing it entirely.

Hand-hate: Falls back into the first category. Inquisition hits you first turn and you lose your scepter. You spent the rest of the game durdling around digging for it and simply come up short.

Mana flood: Despite the low count of 20 lands, 20 land + 10 mana dorks results in hands/games where you simply have too much mana and no outlet for them. More draw would be a good go-to, or even an X costed spell that you spent your time ramping into (Something as simple as a Fireball perhaps)

Instantly folds to Chalice of the Void X = 1 or 2: I mean, that's about the sum of it.

All current playtesting has been done in a vacuum and I am 100% open to suggestions and critism. I would like to find a way to make this work, I've seen this list and it's several previous variants pull off some crazy things... (Again goldfishing) but I'm not satisfied quite yet with where it is.

Suggestions

Updates Add

Added in Bounce lands in an attempt to make Kiora's Follower more effective. Resolving a bounce land with follower on board reduces the number of pieces in the combo by 1 (Or, more realistically, provides a substitute).

Added in Grapeshot as a 1 of as an outlet for infinite mana loops with no source of damage.

Changed up the sideboard.
