Replaced Prison Term with Darksteel Mutation, a strict upgrade. This is likely the final version, although easily converted to a Cheerios build, or upgraded with the Swords/Jitte cards if budget permits.

Think it's pretty optimal, but if you think of a card that's a must-have for this deck, please let me know!

Sword of Feast and Famine is probably the one card that most encouraged me to not build my Sram deck. You basically get double mana at that point, which is obviously very useful when drawing off of nearly everything you play thanks to your general, drawing 1 (or 2 with double strike) off of Sword of Fire and Ice, and/or drawing 1 off of Puresteel Paladin.

You could add tutors like Open the Armory and Steelshaper's Gift to really get things out of hand. Should be swinging for 21+ unblockable by turn 9-ish, all while Sram is virtually untouchable to colors (various swords) and destroy effects (Darksteel Plate). Consider adding Recruiter of the Guard, which helps find Puresteel Paladin or Leonin Shikari, which are obviously important. Pretty nasty deck. Not sure I'd want to play against it unless I'm running an equally-fast deck or dedicated artifact hate (which is why I didn't actually build mine).

Removing the 3 Swords cards, as well as Path to Exile, to cut the cost of the deck by over a third. Path to Exile is kind of replaced by Dispatch in this deck anyway.

Condemn is another nice budget Path to Exile.

edit: Paradise Mantle is nice with Lightning Greaves basically ramp.

Wouldn't let me edit again but I meant Lightning Greaves and Auriok Steelshaper and the zero drop helps combo with sram.

Ghost Quarter would save you some money if you replaced Strip Mine with it.

Dusk / Dawn is a cheaper Retribution of the Meek.

Hero's Blade is fantastic, since it'll re-equip when Sram inevitably gets removed by something.

Crib Swap and Afterlife cost more in mana than Swords to Plowshares, but they shave money off your budget and are just as viable in EDH.

Trailblazer's Boots are a better cheap equip than say Trusty Machete because even if it costs one more to drop, it'll consistently read as 'unblockable'. Prowler's Helm is a similar budget option but there are walls that get dropped more often:P.

Cultivator's Caravan is just wasteful budget when you can use Darksteel Ingot for an indestructible version, or Manalith for a way cheaper option(or, if you don't care about making white mana, Pristine Talisman will gain you life. Tooth of Ramos also gives you a pocket two mana)

Oreskos Explorer is Knight of the White Orchid except cheaper and better in multiplayer.

Taj-Nar Swordsmith gives you another tutor. Planar Cleansing is a cheap mass-removal that could replace WOG(though it costs some more mana) or just give you another wipe.

Always good to see economical decks :D

@jrwarrior1811 Yeah my playgroup banned Sol Ring, and the deck runs fine without it, but easily added in.

@Snacrifice Decks already made, but thanks for the suggestions! Dusk/Dawn did catch my eye, might actually be an upgrade. Did want to mention, Cultivator's Caravan is way better than Darksteel Ingot, since you draw off the vehicle. Oreskos Explorer doesn't ramp you like Knight of the White Orchid does, and I haven't had an issue with lands in hand.

I thought Taj-Nar Swordsmith would be too slow, and he has the same downside that Stonehewer Giant does, which is you don't get to draw off those equipment you get.

Anyway, you could certainly make it cheaper, maybe even near $100. Thanks!
