This deck is part of a US$10.00 budget format. This budget encompasses the mainboard and the sideboard (everything but traditional basic lands), so it makes for a very interesting deckbuilding challenge.

I'm pretty proud of this one. I'm sure there are a bunch of different ways this can be built, and it probably needs a bunch of tweaking to be its best, but I think the core strategy is pretty solid. I'm a sucker for techy decks, and this fits the profile while still maintaining a healthy level of aggression. The game plan is to lay down some incidental punishment (Impact Tremors, Flayer of the Hatebound, Warstorm Surge, or Ogre Battledriver), and get aggressive with your awkward creatures. I say awkward, because removing them is difficult, and often costly due to undying, and unearth. Don't be afraid to sacrifice your own creatures for the greater good! (Also, Hex Parasite is sweet in this deck).
