Evernight Shade

Creature — Shade

: Evernight Shade gets +1/+1 until end of turn.

Undying (When this creature dies, if it had no +1/+1 counter on it, return it to the battlefield under its owner's control with a +1/+1 counter on it.)

cool deck!!
undying seems good with marchesa. Flayer of the Hatebound , Evernight Shade , Hound of Griselbrand fit the bill

The title made me think of a Rankle deck as the little fairy is a trickster, so he might be interpreted as Loki, who's the father of the norse goddess Hel. After scrolling a little through the list, I quickle came to the conclusion that this has to be a Yawgmoth list. That much regarding the flavour and synergies.

As far as suggestions go, how about Geralf's Messenger , Sightless Ghoul , Evernight Shade and Butcher Ghoul ? Just get into play two of these and go infinite, killing all of your opponents off with any die-trigger drainer.

So, is your commander going to be a big mechanic in the way the deck plays out? Because right now, you could throw in most any other Jund commander without having much of an effect on the deck's mechanics. You already have a strong +1/+1 counter theme going, Kresh the Bloodbraided could work as the commander in that respect. But would could also work is Adun Oakenshield but may be a bit out of budget. This would not require your commander to even be on the field so you could put in someone else.

Going back to Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper you'll want cards in the deck that are going to bring creatures back from the graveyard consistently. I'd recommend Persist/Undying cards for one: Puppeteer Clique, Furystoke Giant, Cauldron of Souls or Evernight Shade, Undying Evil, Pyreheart Wolf (possible win condition with enough creatures out) and such.

Another option with Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper is to use Act of Treason spells combined with sacrifice options. You get a free attacker, if they don't kill it you can sacrifice it and get a 3/1. Removal, attack, and replacement all in one. Your current card options are not set up for this though and would require a big re-work.

Seeing as you focus on big creatures and pumping them up I'm going to say try working in evasion techniques to get those creatures through. Jund can easily give you a lot of Menace, Intimidate, and Fear options in that respect. But another that you did touch on a little in the cards was cards that make your creatures do direct damage to other creatures: Ulvenwald Tracker. Green has a lot of other cards that do this, and if you are pumping creature power then those cards will go a long way in enabling board control.

How nice to see a commnader deck that isn't showed on here often.

I have been wondering what has some nice interactions with your commanders choice. Pump effects might prove to be a valuable asset for your deck:

Not sure if you want to go this way, but I think it can be interesting to consider nevertheless.

Enjoy!

Lashwrithe or Korlash, Heir to Blackblade are good here. Zof Shade is garbage. Drifting Shade and Evernight Shade arent great, but not the worst for casual. play 4 Nantuko Shade. its the best shade.

you definitely need a way too get those shades through. Whispersilk Cloak seems like the best way to do that. Apostle's Blessing is an instant speed option

you definitely need some form of card advantage. if youre gonna spend cards to get more mana you need a way to spend mana that gets you cards. Phyrexian Arena or Underworld Connections or Skeletal Scrying? maybe something like Liliana of the Dark Realms.

Ob Nixilis, the Fallen is dope. if youre gonna have a landfall subtheme, add some fetchlands like Verdant Catacombs. Sword of the Animist is another good tool for that.

Mind Sludge is just a good card if youre all swamps. you could go further with the discard plan with Mire's Toll.

Pestilence Demon or Thrashing Wumpus or Pontiff of Blight are alternative ways to use all that mana.

Cabal Ritual isnt at its best as you wont get threshold until much later when you already have lots of mana. Culling the Weak isnt great unless you have some sac fodder for it. this deck could also use some cheap removal spells.

lot of different directions to take this. i dig it
