Have you considered Earthquake + Platinum Angel , Glacial Chasm . I have also given a try with Devil's Playground as those devil tokens are really annoying blockers.

Satyr Firedancer? I thing it would definetely help if you could double the damage of each instant or sorcery.

I want to build the deck but more on the budget side, you think those exchanges work?
Mana Drain - Condescend / Counterspell
Snapcaster Mage - Thing in the Ice Flip
What do you think about cards like:

Thank you for the feedback!
- Inexorable Tide is just a dead spell that sets me back a turn. I would rather cast an instant or sorcery.
- Worldfire is a bit of a gamble. It is also banned in EDH.
- Platinum Angel: Really bad card when you not build 100% around it. And I will not do that :)
- Devil's Playground is a pretty good card. I don't want to drop any of my other 6 drops for it. What would you take out?
- Satyr Firedancer only deals damage to creatures and it is not an instant or sorcery. I don't think it has enough synergy in this deck.
- Mana Drain is not essential. It is a luxury that I have allowed myself. Counterspell will do just fine. Condescend will also work.
- I guess Thing in the Ice Flip could substitute Snapcaster Mage. He is not essential to the deck.
- Jace, Architect of Thought is not for this deck. Run an instant or sorcery instead.
- Peer Through Depths is okay. If you can find something with flashback or X that does the same, it would also be nice.
Cheers

With EDM now fully available to peruse at the least, do you think you'll make room for cards like;Thermo-AlchemistDocent of Perfection FlipImprisoned in the MoonSummary DismissalWould love to hear your thoughts.

I am not going to run any of those cards.
- Thermo-Alchemist and Docent of Perfection Flip: I am not going to make room for any of those, for the same reason as I am not running Young Pyromancer: I don't want to delay my experience flow by a round. Also Alchemist will only make a difference when you have allready won, and as such make no difference at all.
- Imprisoned in the Moon: It is not an instant or sorcery and I am pretty happy with my control suite as is. Also it is not that impressive a card in blue/red that has many options for handling creatures/lands/planeswalkers.
- Summary Dismissal: This card is nice because of the abilities counter, and I will have to think about it a bit, but for now I am leaving it out. In a normal counter battle, I don't see it adding any value (it is more of a liability actually), but versus a stacked upkeep stack it could be pretty useful.

@MrHighscore Sorry for replying too late. I sort of made Devil's Playground my alt wincon. Maybe you can replace it with Fanning the Flames as they both are sorcery and would be a copy target. I also included Platinum Angel with Earthquake to get around people with hexproofing themselves

Curious Homunculus Flip is such a natural fit. What do you think?

Hey there! I've taken a bit of advice from your list and comments, and had a few questions.
A) Would you consider at least leaaving Enter the Infinite in the deck? With something like Inner Fire it could create an interesting win con, or at least wipe one player out? I feel that the general explosiveness of dealing that insane amount of damage makes it more interesting than its Laboratory Maniac counter part.
B) Have you thought about adding more mana rocks? In my testing experience, it has seemed to facilitate more interesting scenarios and more damage with some red x spells. Things like Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Basalt Monolith, Grim Monolith, etc
C) What do you think of adding Sensei's Divining Top? I feel that its never a bad play, and its great draw manipulation.

Thank your questions :)
- As with most other creatures (i.e., Young Pyromancer et. al) they just delay my win by a turn. And they are a huge liability. I think Curious Homunculus Flip fits this bucket.
@Prog
- I don't see a big problem addingEnter the Infinite in the deck, but it still requires a good amount of mana to pull off a win with it. There is also the issue that you have to win in one turn and since there are cards like Angel's Grace out there, that would not be guaranteed.
- More mana rocks could be good. Especially the one you suggest. When you get behind it can be hard to win... basically you need to pull an infinite combo at the right time. I guess they should be thought of as a backup plan when Miss Coupon is hated off the board.
- Sensei's Divining Top is always good. The question is, is it good enough to waste other peoples time with. Will it take the deck to the next level? For this deck, I think: no.
Cheers

you should take a look at Collective Defiance as it stands its a much better X spell with every mana spent on escalate will turn into 3 damage to player of 4 damage to a creature or repeated Windfall's. One catch with this one is this spell doesnt up the experience counter more than 3. but you can possibly mill them out, with a red card.
August 5, 2016 11:50 a.m.
Alondith, regarding the repeated draw/mill strategy, I'm certain that you can't choose the same option on Collective Defiance more than once. If I'm wrong, then this cycle of EM cards would be completely bonkers.

Have you considered Braid of Fire for all those X cost instants?
August 10, 2016 4:23 p.m.
MrHighscore says... #15
@QuantumCynist that is an excellent suggestion. It will still set me back a turn on XP (in most cases), but it could potentially give me some crazy ramp and allow for infinite combos to go off earlier. Also there is the turn 2 Braid of Fire that could be pretty awesome. Also, it is sort of a backup plan for when Mizzix keeps geeting killed.
What would you drop for it?

Have you thought about Epiphany at the Drownyard over Steam Augury? Or how about Docent of Perfection Flip? Seems like Docent would be good to help you go wide.

Honestly, I would probably take out seething song, as it only gains you +2 red on the turn you play it, which is generated the turn after by Braid of Fire if you play it on curve, and then the value just gets better.

Also Metallurgic Summonings looks good for mizzix and what do you think of Chandra, Torch of Defiance for this deck?

Have you considered removing Talrand, Sky Summoner for Metallurgic Summonings? Same token production rate but with the added bonus of pulling spells back from the grave. It would be easy to get to 6 artifacts with all the spell duplication in the deck.

I looked up Braid of Fire and the mana unfortunately empties from your pool after your upkeep phase.

Hi there. Have you consider Swarm Intelligence ?
By the way thank you for the good ideas :)
Definitely +1
