ECT Goals

• Be a bridge between 60-card and 100-card formats
• Support learning magic complexities for new players
• Bring the deckbuilding of commander to a four of format
• Balance consistency with repetition

Banned Cards

• Conspiracy Cards
• Ante Cards
• Cards printed exclusively in an Unset (i.e., Unfinity)

Boards

Mainboard

• List of Banned cards.

Sideboard

• These are cards that have been removed from the Mainboard or Sideboard lists.

Maybeboard

• These cards are still legal, but are may be Banned in the future.
• High Risk cards are more likely to be Banned.

Leader Rules

• Must be a Rare or Mythic Creature
• Counts as 1 card in your Sideboard
• Can be cast directly from your Sideboard
• If you Leader dies, it goes to the Graveyard

Construction Rules

Deck Size

• 80 cards in Mainboard (Min)
• 1 Leader in Sideboard
• 19 other cards in Sideboard (Max)

Restrictions

• The Leader plus one color of your choice determines the Color Identity for the deck (like Commander)
• All creatures must share at least one Subtype with the Leader
• All cards, other than the Leader, must be Common or Uncommon
• No more than 4 copies of a card (between Mainboard and Sideboard)

Changelings

• "Changelings" are treated as all creature types in play, and are allowed in any deck (ignoring the Subtype restriction)

Life Totals

• 20 for 1v1
• 30 for Two-Headed Giant
• 40 for Multi-Player

• Your Leader should be the featured card
