I like how Hero of Precinct One, the various multicolored creatures available in Pioneer, and The Scarab God work together. Let’s explain the deck a bit more. Let’s start with the creatures:

• Early game, use Hero of Precinct One with cheap removal to keep the board clear and apply a bit of pressure.

• Champion of Wits: I want to try this in place of Teferi, Time Raveler. This can draw us cards early AND come back on its own to help us dig fairly deep.

• Deputy of Detention: All-purpose removal that can be brought back from the graveyard with The Scarab God. Normally, I feel like this card can be a bit hit-or-miss. Being able to recur it with The Scarab God makes it exponentially better in my opinion.

• Atris, Oracle of Half-Truths: Fantastic card-draw for this deck. Places cards you want for now into your hand, and cards you may want for later into your graveyard.

• This deck wins through The Scarab God and Dream Trawler. I feel like I don’t really need to explain why both of these creatures are good.

Now, let’s take a moment to discuss the non-creature spells.

• Thoughtseize and Fatal Push are pretty straightforward. Can easily trigger Revolt on Fatal Push by sacrificing tokens made by Hero of Precinct One.

• Thought Erasure: Discard always relevant. Surveil always relevant.

• Tyrant's Scorn: Additional removal vs Aggro decks. Never a completely dead card since you can always use it to bounce / protect your own creatures.

• Dig Through Time: This deck does a fairly decent job of filling the graveyard. Use those cards to delve through the deck.

• Liliana, the Last Hope: I want to try this out. Seems reasonable in a deck: 1. Creature-tokens to protect it. 2. Enough creatures to make her second ability relevant. 3. The Scarab God valuing the Zombie tokens.

SIDEBOARD

• Currently, my Sideboard is heavily skewed towards the combo-oriented decks in the format that are winning using Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Damping Sphere, and Dovin's Veto are all relevant in those matchups.

• Dragonlord Silumgar: This seems like a fun and effective way of interacting with Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath. Can also bring it in at Instant-Speed from the grave with The Scarab God to potentially snag a Jace, Wielder of Mysteries.

MAYBEBOARD

• Really, if the deck is focused around The Scarab God, the deck should have creatures with powerful ETB triggers. Can consider Reflector Mage, Hostage Taker, Basilica Bell-Haunt, etc.

• Teferi, Time Raveler: Interacts great with our discard-removal as well as Deputy of Detention. In general, very good against Spirits and Instant-speed oriented decks. Awkward in this deck when it’s so creature-heavy,
