My attempt at a defender deck for Modern! I am new to deck-brewing, so any feedback would be appreciated.

Key cards

The keys to making this deck do anything are Arcades, the Strategist and High Alert . I only put 3 copies of Arcades, the Strategist since it is legendary.

The defenders

My favorite defender out of the bunch is Wall of Shards . The thought of a flying 8/8 as early as turn 3 is too good to pass up. However, the cumulative upkeep can be a huge drawback if it spends more than a few turns on the board, which is why I only put 2 in. Should I add 1 or 2 more copies?

Another favorite of mine is Wall of Denial . Unlike Wall of Shards , this card doesn't have any drawbacks. In fact, the shroud is a great bonus.

As for the other defenders, Stalwart Shield-Bearers pumps the other defenders, Wall of Runes and Wall of Blossoms provide some card advantage, and Wall of Tanglecord is just a big baddie.
