Echoing Equation

Sorcery

Choose target creature you control. Each other creature you control becomes a copy of it until end of turn, except those creatures aren't legendary if the chosen creature is legendary.

Did you see how my group uses Boost Cards to change the deck difficulty?

Boost Cards

If you want to play against the Horde with stronger decks, you can use cards to boost its strength.

The following cards provide the boosts described.

Glenn, the Voice of Calm gives all Horde creatures Skulk.

Garruk, Apex Predator gives all Horde creatures +5/+5 and Trample.

Knight of the Ebon Legion gives all Horde creatures +3/+3 and Deathtouch.

Echoing Equation lets all Horde creatures become a copy of the strongest Horde creature on the field, for one turn.

Broken Ambitions choose a Hero each turn to Clash with the Horde, on the Horde's End Step. Who ever loses puts the top four cards of their library into their graveyard.

Captivating Glance choose a Hero each turn to Clash with the Horde, on the Horde's End Step. (That player must have control of at least one creature. If no player has any creatures, the Clash does not occur.) Who ever wins captures the most advantageous opponent creature.

Note only the Hero who Clashed with the Horde is effected by the penalty or benefit. They must be the player to put four cards into their graveyard. The Horde can only capture one of their creatures, and only they can capture a Horde creature.

It works well to roll dice to determine a random Hero to Clash with the Horde.

Use them like this:

  1. Sleeve them up in the same sleeves used for the rest of the Horde deck.

  2. Use a token, a land, or some other substitute for a double faced card, if you want to keep it in a clear sleeve.

  3. The Heroes need to discuss which card(s) they think should be used, to make things harder for the decks they are playing.

  4. The Heroes need to decide when they think the boost(s) should occur eg. After 15 cards have been played, then after another 15 cards, then after 5 cards.

Try to be as strategic as possible. Think about it as though you are Sideboarding on behalf of the Horde.

  5. Shuffle the Horde, then position the boost card(s) where it has been decided.

  6. The Horde creatures then get the buff(s) indicated, once a card has been revealed.

  7. The boost cards are not part of the deck and, as such, don't go into the graveyard. As soon as they are turned over they go into the Boost Zone.

  8. Once a boost card is drawn, drawing cards from the Horde deck ceases, unless a Heroes' card calls for more draw.

  9. Each card in the Boost Zone stacks eg. If Glenn, the Voice of Calm and Garruk, Apex Predator are both in the Boost Zone, all Horde creatures have Skulk, +5/+5, and Trample.

You can use none of the boosts, some of the boosts, or ALL of the boosts!

KBK7101- High Market is a maybe im still trying to get the mana base good enough but it may have a place after tinkering. As for O-Kagachi vs Kyodai neither mesh well with the whole death trigger in fact i wish there as a commander in five colors with Teysa Karlov first ability and Moldervine Reclamation in one card would be perfect... perhaps a bit to broken?

RambIe- I would say there a kami theme per say maybe you could call it a sub theme? If there is a kami theme it more in the background and is not as important as making this deck work. the same could be said for the all that dragon support yes it 12 dragons but it also only has 12 dragons as Teneb, the Harvester was already in the deck. However Palace Siege, Haven of the Spirit Dragon and The Kami War  Flip will defiantly find a place in the deck. As for Bladewing the Risen and Korvold, Fae-Cursed King I considered them but haven't really found a place for them the rest don't really help with what im looking for

Massacar- Mirror Gallery will find a place can always use legendary rule removal redundancy. Soul Foundry most likly will not be added as I just cut Mimic Vat for the same reason it makes me exile a Star/Sky dragon to make a copy and if the artifacts get destroyed i lose those creature permanently, while vat negates somewhat but putting the old one into the graveyard i still am weary on exiling them.

Necrosis24- I'm not looking for this to be competitive just looking for it to fun, functional and could win me some games.

Bramble Sovereign, Flameshadow Conjuring, Molten Echoes and Mirror March are all great adds and add more red to the deck is minor thing but it bother me that the basically the only red were the command and the two star/sky dragons. As for all the "Legendary Rule doesn't apply" cards yes if i don't have them free on death triggers if i have them big flying disposable minion army either way i win (though having them on board has more pluses than them just blowing up but either way is fine).

As for Reflections of Littjara i like it

As for Infinite Reflection and Echoing Equation will need some time to consider them.

And for Avenger of Zendikar + Mystic Reflection I like the consecpt but not sure if i can squeeze them in

Bramble Sovereign, Flameshadow Conjuring, Molten Echoes, Mirror March, or Reflections of Littjara.

Assuming Sakashima of a Thousand Faces is not in play your token copies will die instantly due to the legendary rule and get you the death triggers instantly. And if she is in play you have mutiple dragons to attack with.

Not sure what level of play you are aiming for but some other fun cards could be Infinite Reflection or Echoing Equation if there is a specfic dragon you want lots of at the time.

Another fun one is Avenger of Zendikar + Mystic Reflection. Now all your plants can enter as a Keiga, the Tide Star and gain you control of the board.

I very much enjoy anything that happens after players allow me to play/keep one of my 'signature cards' around. These may not be the most powerful cards ever, but I love them and will bend a game in half if I'm allowed them in the right circumstance.

Most recently, tapped out for pet card Tempt with Vengeance during my turn with a pile of good stuff in play. Had a Cryptolith Rite along for the ride. Opponent went to board clear. Was able to instant speed respond thanks to Alchemist's Refuge by casting a Reef Worm + Echoing Equation. Everyone was dead by massive fish damage the next turn.

Polaris on How MDFC instant and sorceryies …

Unfortunately, no. When not in play, an MDFC only has the characteristics of its front face, so it's not an "instant and sorcery card," unless you're considering something like Spikefield Hazard  Flip.

An ability that says "you may cast instant and sorcery spells from your graveyard," like Jaya Ballard, is different (Jaya's ultimate would let you cast Echoing Equation from the grave).

Hey there,

Its pretty straight foward: Let's say that I have Lier, Disciple of the Drowned on the battlefield, can I cast a mdfc card like Echoing Equation ? Or do I only have the choice of casting if it is in my hand?

Rhadamanthus on Echoing Equation that targets a …

Unfortunately yes, that's how this interaction works.

A copy effect only copies the characteristics that are written on the original card, plus characteristics given by merged cards (from Mutate), plus the characteristics from any other copy effect that the original is subject to. If you use Echoing Equation to target a Forest that's been turned into a creature by the last ability on Druid Class, your other creatures will just be regular Forests. They won't be creatures.

Very cool deck. I’ve never dabbled in cloning for a build and this looks fun.

Have you considered Echoing Equation?
