Scepter of Celebration

Artifact — Equipment

Equipped creature gets +2/+0 and has trample.

Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, create that many 1/1 green and white Citizen creature tokens.

Equip (: Attach this to target creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. This enters the battlefield unattached and stays on the battlefield if the creature this card is attached to leaves the battlefield.)

Call the Coppercoats is a party-in-a-can.

Scepter of Celebration can spit out massive amounts of tokens while giving a beefy dude trample.

City on Fire is a bit pricier than the 1.50 or so avg. the deck has, but it's well worth the price and a slot. It's tanked in price somewhat recently but I don't see it staying this cheap personally.

Crow_Umbra First, ty for taking a look and posting. Good catch on Broodmoth, it definitely deserves a spot. I'll have to keep a few of those in mind, especially the cheap go-wide counters and Kodama. Can you think of any cheap early game token production like Call the Coppercoats/Flurry of Wings/Scepter of Celebration that will produce a decent chunk of bodies and possibly scale well as the game progresses? I feel like going wide early needs another slot or 2 for consistency.

I spotted the Sovereign Okinec Ahau while building, but that wording is confusing trash... is it everything attacking with less than Sovereign's power gets +1+1 counters equal to the difference? (I.e. he's 3 power and him and some 1/1's attack, the 1/1's all get 2x +1+1 counters to bring them to 3 power too?) If so, yeah it 100% deserves a spot.

The struggle I had in building this is prioritizing between a bit of go-wide early game creatures (mainly tokens), +1+1 counters, historic, and flash speed casting. I had to drop several payoffs I was eyeballing like counter/token doublers, the Ozolith, etc.

Last Laugh Thanks for the suggestions! All those cards have great effects, but generally I prefer to play my effects on creatures in this deck so I can cast them off Food Chain, find them with my creature tutors, and cheat them in with things like Birthing Pod and Defense of the Heart.

Impact Tremors was cut from this deck for Zulaport Cutthroat when it was first printed for this reason, much more synergistic as a creature and generally paints a much smaller target on your head. I'll likely cut either artist or cutthroat once I finally pickup a copy of The Meathook Massacre. Similar story with Bastion of Remembrance, plus making off-color tokens is a pet peeve of mine.

Scepter of Celebration is new to me but seems like a great card, I certainly wouldn't cut Avenger of Zendikar from this deck for almost any reason but it could be a good budget replacement for something like Awakening Zone or a token doubler, but I don't know it makes the cut because I almost never have 3 extra mana after casting prossh to equip and it doesn't do much equipped anywhere else. Plus off color tokens again, silly citizens.

Thanks again, I'll give your deck a look!

Scepter of Celebration is amazing on Prossh. You can sac all your tokens so Prossh hits that much harder and Scepter just replaces everything you sac'ed and then some. I'd personally try it in Avenger of Zendikar's slot (unless I'm missing some blinking shenanigans or something).

Bastion of Remembrance is a more resilient Zulaport Cutthroat effect. I recommend both. It could easily replace Viscious Shadows.

Impact Tremors I would recommend over Blood Artist. Again it's more resilient but more importantly, it hits all opponents.

Feel free to check out my list for ideas. It's an aristocrat/group slug theme where all those effects hit all opponents. Upvotes on any of my decks are appreciated. Prossh's Dastardly Bastard Children - Group Slug

Scepter of Celebration gives Kresh trample and can produce a veritable shit ton of tokens (you can literally sac them all and Kresh/Scepter will just replace them all and possibly more).

Bothersome Quasit and Bedlam allow you to goad unimpeded. Bedlam is a bit ballsy and has the potential to backfire but the quasit is worth its weight in gold here.

Vengeful Ancestor is a stud here.

Beloved Chaplain, Soltari Foot Soldier, Soltari Champion, Soltari Visionary, Spirit en-Dal, Spirit Mantle, and Champion of Lambholt will ensure you get through in combat to goad someone.

Authority of the Consuls in addition to Urabrask makes it so every hastey boy isn't sent your way and makes it impossible for your opponents to play fresh ungoaded blockers.

I've also had really good results out of 'deals combat damage to an opponent' effects due to a lack of blockers once a goad chain gets going. Stuff like Aerial Extortionist, Ancient Gold Dragon, and Scepter of Celebration.

A pet card of mine that's hilariously effective here is Kusari-Gama. It'll get your big boys through or wipe their board. Equip it to Soltari Guerrillas to ensure no one can block ANY of your creatures without immediate retaliation.

Anyways, feel free to check out my list for ideas. Upvotes on any of my decks are appreciated. Marisi the Pimp - (Combat) Trickin' Hoes

Nice deck. I do have some suggestions for you though.

Loyal Apprentice's hastey flying tokens are great for goading.

Luminous Broodmoth puts in some work here and addresses the decks lack of flyers and being a removal magnet.

Dhalsim, Pliable Pacifist is a weaker Toski variant, but still draws plenty of cards.

Skyhunter Strike Force is a cheap way to get a +3+3 boost for all your attackers on an evasive creature.

Kusari-Gama dares your opponents to block. Pair it with Soltari Guerrillas for extra hilarity.

Urabrask the Hidden provides haste while shutting off your opponent's hasty boys (that always get sent Marisi's direction).

I've also had great results out of effects that need to connect with an opponent like Aerial Extortionist, Ancient Gold Dragon, Scepter of Celebration, and The Reaver Cleaver.

Feel free to check out my list for more ideas. Upvotes on any of my decks are appreciated. Marisi the Pimp - (Combat) Trickin' Hoes

I'm trying to be helpful here, so take this with a grain of salt. Your avg. cmc is really high and you're flooded with 5, 6, and 7 drops. I would recommend replacing several high cmc cards with 1 and 2 drop ramp like Signets/Talismans, Three Visits/Nature's Lore, and Deathrite Shaman/Birds of Paradise/Ignoble Hierarch.

Here's a link to my Prossh list to hopefully help with other ideas. Mines admittedly Aristocrats/Group Slug but there's still randomness like Scepter of Celebration, Chatterfang, Squirrel General, etc that fit regardless of theme.
