In heraldry, a group of griffins or gryphons is sometimes referred to as a "drift." This term is used in the context of coats of arms and heraldic symbolism to describe the representation of multiple griffins in a single design or composition. While it's not a commonly known term outside of heraldry, it is indeed used in that specific field to describe such groupings of mythical creatures. Thus, 'drift' was the closest thing I could come up with for an official collective noun for Griffins/Gryphons.
