Thanks to Skimm3r I have changed the deck to rely less on my shock lands that may dwindle my health when I didn't need it too. Also added Remand as it helps me with draw and counters such things as Path to Exile which would definitely ruin the game for me.

Uhmmm. It's actually not that bad. Maybe some more ramp would be good. try Liliana of the Dark Realms or card:Liliana's Shade. This will make getting Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker out way easier. I would also add another Olivia Voldaren

i do have a Gilded Lotus , what do you think i should take out for it, and how many should i need? because i see how the extra mana could do a lot for me.

Black is considered Grixis's main colorcalls deck True Grix (I understand the pun)black is least prominent color in deck.

I somewhat agree with the above comment.

I feel like it would be a lot stronger with more emphasis on black, leaving blue to Dissipate , Think Twice and Cyclonic Rift . You could also consider Syncopate since it's more punishing to big spells (leaving them with fewer untapped mana), and control likes to limit big spells.

I think red could use -1 Olivia Voldaren and +1 Mizzium Mortars , but I actually like your use of red in the deck. It should be prominent, but not as much as black.

So I guess what I actually mean is, I think it's a little too heavy on blue. Limiting blue to its most important aspects (counter with Dissipate /Syncopate , draw with Think Twice , bounce and board wipe with Cyclonic Rift ) would give the deck more impact plus give you room for +1 Vampire Nighthawk , maybe a few Desecration Demon and/or Black Cat /Typhoid Rats . Duress is always handy, and for sideboard, you have good graveyard hate with Rakdos Charm , but I think Negate or Dispel would be more useful than Essence Scatter , especially for matchups against a fellow control deck.

I like the deck, though, +1. And speaking of fellow control decks, check mine out if you want to. Planeswalker win-con control

Forgot to mention, I feel like it could use +1 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker , but Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Jace, Architect of Thought seem kind of low-impact here, to me.

Don't mean to spam, but also forgot to mention that it could seriously use some more and better creature answers. Tribute to Hunger allows your opponent to choose which creature dies, meaning if they have a high-priority creature out and a 1/1, you just spent 3 mana killing a 1/1 and gaining 1 life. I'd do 3 Murder or Victim of Night instead of Tribute to Hunger . I'd add +1 Dreadbore While I was at it.

i know some one side this but card:Devil's Play is great. i heard that Lone Revenant was ok in control. Curse of Echoes would let you counter you oppent counterspells. Havengul Lich is fun with Snapcaster Mage . Stensia Bloodhall great at snipering planeswalkers or tapping out at the end of you opponent's turn. cosider Ultimate Price and Searing Spear thay are instant speed and can hit keyrunes, well not Ultimate Price .

This looks pretty good, and I'm currently tuning a similar list myself.

Personally I've had zero success with Magma Jet . It seems great because of the scry, but it just didn't work the way I thought it would. Instead I would say cut your Magma Jet s and Izzet Charm s and bump up to 4 Hero's Downfall and 4 Dissolve .

If you have it, I'd bump up to the 4th Jace, Architect of Thought as well, since he's going to be your major draw source.

I've never had great success with Ashoik or Ral either, so maybe consider going with a different approach there. Also Keranos, God of Storms is just basically an instant win if you can stick one.

If you have Keranos and a full set of 12 Temples, you can basically scry your way to victory. Works really well with Prognostic Sphinx too!

Please feel free to check out my Grixis Control (Post Nyx) deck and compare notes!
