Control the Hand, Control the Game
Discard spells make The Rack/Shrieking Affliction lethal. Removal kills any creatures the opponent tries to play. Liliana of the Veil does work as both removal and emptying the hand. Smallpox works really well with getting Tombstalker in play quickly and Grim Discovery can be a psudo-scam strategy with Ghost Quarter/Shriekmaw.
Sideboard:
I am trying to tailor the sideboard for my LGS. The big decks that I see at the shop (as of Jan 2024) are Affinity/Hammertime, Goblins, Titan, Yawgmoth, Hardened Scales, Cascade Rhinos/Living end, Creativity, Murktide and Merfolk... It's a very Combo and Aggro heavy Meta.... every now and again random decks show up but it feels like my shop tends to stay pretty current.

Extirpate: Gut an opponents strategy removing key cards that were discarded/cast. Split Second is why I'm using this over Surgical Extraction.

Sudden Spoiling: There is a lot of combo shenanigans going on lately; this is basically Dress Down in but can also be a Darkness.

Hex Parasite: Currently testing; Might be good in the Yawgmoth, Thran Physician/Hardened Scales matchups? Take out Grist, the Hunger Tide and hobble Agatha's Soul Cauldron seems decent.

Pithing Needle: Activated abilities are everywhere.

Torpor Orb: ETB effects are everywhere.

Black Sun's Zenith: So many decks that go wide anymore seem to have a "Creatures gain indestructible/protection" clause somewhere and this gets around that. Paying or for typically should be enough for a good sweep which is about the same rate as Damnation anyway.
