Welcome to Lillies on your Grave!

Lily

Liliana is probably my favorite planeswalker. Fittingly, I opened her as my prerelease foil and also drew one in a booster a week later. I already had the makings of a standard zombie deck, so I put together this Zombie Apocalypse featuring both standard Lilianas.

Let's review the selections:

Cryptbreaker Lone one drop. Helps us dump zombies into the graveyard while also putting a token onto the field. Can also help with card draw if needed.

Relentless Dead The gift that keeps on giving. Helps us return Zombies to the battlefield. Will probably go up to 4 of these.

Diregraf Colossus Great card early or late game. We love those zombies in our graveyard. and as we cast more zombies we get an extra token with each!

Prized Amalgam Solid beater who comes back anytime any time another creature from your graveyard is recurred. Great interaction with Relentless dead and the Defiant Necromancer.

Fleshbag Marauder Force sac opponents creatures and fill graveyard with zombie. Sac a Relentless zombie and return it to hand with . Fleshbag also pairs well with flipping the Heretical Healer.

Gisa and Geralf The sibling reanimators help fill our graveyard with zombies (you're welcome Diregraf C) and allow us to cast a zombie each turn from our graveyard (hello again cryptbreaker/relentless/diregraf/fleshbag, I see you've brought your friends, the Amalgams, with you).

Voldaren Pariah   Ideally cast for madness when discarded by cryptbreaker, defiant necromancer, or a sanitarium. She gives us an important flier who will usually immediately be transformed to abolish our enemies. Might go up to 3 or 4 of these. Especially against aggro, fliers, and CoCo.

Haunted Dead a two-for-one that can be cast from the graveyard for and discarding two cards. This gives us another discard outlet to dump zombies into the grave and it give us another outlet to cast the Pariah for its madness cost. Have another two in the sideboard to bring in with another Pariah for when facing flyers or CoCo type decks.

Liliana, Heretical Healer   When a zombie dies, transform her and put a zombie token out... deal. Then Use her flipside to force discards and put zombies in our grave. Also good interaction discarding Voldaren Pariah for madness. But the real reason we love her here is the -X. We can return a Cryptbreaker or Relentless Dead and get back our Prized Amalgams. And if you get to Ultimate, then gg.

Liliana, the Last Hope Her +1 helps subdue attackers to keep her alive longer. Her -2 helps fill graveyard and return a creature to hand - won't be used often unless I need to return Gisa and Geralf or the Heretical Healer to hand. and the emblem means that we will be popping out zombies to no end.

Murder instant speed removal.

Ruinous Path Removal plus Planeswalker removal. Planeswalkers aren't a huge problem in my meta, so 2 is probably fine. Would maybe sideboard 2 more if playing competitively.

Collective Brutality Allows me to cherry pick the worst spell threat from an opponent's hand and see what else they are working with. Also gives removal for early/small creatures. And/Or gain/drain a couple life. The Escalation cost of discarding a card allows me to put zombies into the grave or cast spells for madness.

Choked Estuary Ideal turn 1 drop. Only run two because they aren't as helpful late game when you ahve no lands in hand.

Sunken Hollow Ideal for turns 3 and on. Only running 3 islands, so this is the most common source.

Geier Reach Sanitarium Helps us get additional draw in stale state. Discard outlet for Amalgams or Pariah madness.

Westvale Abbey   Alternate win-con. because when you have a shitload of zombies, you might as well sacrifice some of them to bring out the Profane Prince!

Contingency Plan Helps us set up our draw and put zombies into graveyard. Allows us to filter what we are milling so that we don't put the Last Hope into the graveyard. This was in the main and I am moving it to the side for now. Will bring this out for facing faster decks.

Negate Combining two previous counter cards into one counter spell that catches more needs while only taking up one spot in sideboard.

Collective Brutality 1 more on the side vs control

Dark Salvation Removal plus more Zombies

Graf Harvest for zombie evasion and more zombie spawn when board is stale

From Under the Floorboards Zombies with a side of lifegain vs aggro

Haunted Dead & Voldaren Pariah   here for sideboarding in vs flyers or CoCo.

Liliana
