Liliana Black Devotion

Modern BG (Golgari) Midrange

Mono-black devotion, on the aggro side with Bloodghast and Gravecrawler, rather than more controlling lists like some recent snow-based builds. I've recently moved Phyrexian Obliterator to a one-of in the SB, sadly. I didn't want to, but I needed room for Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, which has been testing positively. Both activated abilities work very well with the recursive creatures in the deck, and proliferating a Lily is another feeling altogether. I've only begun testing it recently, but it opens up many new and potentially very powerful lines of play. I also didn't want to remove Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet because it's won me many games, and once again works well with the recursive buddies. I think it currently has a better place in modern than Obliterator at the moment due to the exiling ability, plus the lifelink really helps stabilize. I'm splashing green for Assassin's Trophy, to get rid of those pesky everythings. I call the deck Liliana Black Devotion because the original build had 8 Lilianas, and was also running 4 Liliana's Triumph, but as time moves on, so does evolution. I quite like the name though, so I think I'll keep it.
