@hungry000 I can totally see where you are coming from. Utopia Sprawl is a great ramp card and CAN be used to great effect. My main problem is: What do I take out? Pretty much every card has its niche in my deck and I can only thing of 1 or 2 that I could replace w/ Utopia Sprawl but I'd like the deck to keep its protective aspects or its trademark explosiveness. Can I get a little help in decided what should I keep and what I could drop? I can see that you've actually looked at the deck list, so any advice you could give me would be wonderful.

I'd play it in the Joraga Treespeaker spots, it's the weakest card in the deck and they both function as ramp so the division of labor (so to speak) wouldn't be changed at all.

@hungry000 Thanks for the advice! Joraga Treespeaker was 1 of the cards I was looking at to replace. It is the weakest card(other than maybe Heroic Intervention ) and the only reason I played it (I think) was because my fiend likes to play aggressive red decks and I needed the possible chump blockers.

@itachi45Thanks a bunch! Any idea for what I should do for the next Milestone? I'm fresh out of ideas and I don't think shoutout are covering it anymore.

@itachi45 Thanks I'll try. Might be a little difficult though, seeing as how I'm not out of high school. I'll work on it.

@itachi45 I could buy the deck too, and then post the scores and such. But I don't know how many people would consider that an actual reward.

That's a better idea. I think actually posting irl results with a deck adds a lot of credibility to it/you and gives people who are potentially going to buy it something tangible to look at. Plus, it's interesting.

@hungry000 and @itachi45, I went into TCG Player and worked some magic. After optimizing, the deck(+ Sideboard) turned out to be anywhere between $250 and $300. The exact number TCG Player got me was $262.28, but because store prices differ, please take this amount with a grain if salt. Not cheap exactly, but in the world of magic, not too terribly pricing. I have this kinda of cash(not on a whim though), so I'll buy in the next couple of weeks and once I can drive I'll start attending FNM. After that I'll start posting scores. Does everything sound good?

Ok. Btw thanks for the shoutout, didn't notice that earlier.

@hungry000 No problem! You and itachi45 have been instrumental in the recent advances. And in response to your comment itachi45, I have been playing this deck for almost 9 months now, so while I do know how to pilot it, I will have to take everything with a grain of salt because I haven't played this competitively with this deck yet, only playing with my friends using the Playtest tool.

If you wanted to go full into mana untapping, you have the addition cards of Voyaging Satyr and Overgrowth that can be very powerful.

@Lanzo493 I understand where you are coming from, concerning Voyaging Satyr . My response to that card is as follows: Voyaging Satyr is just a crapper version of Arbor Elf . Because ALL my lands are basic forests, Voyaging Satyr and Arbor Elf do the exact same thing, except that Arbor Elf is 1 Mana cheaper. Overgrowth however is slightly more complicated. It is closer to some of the cards in the Maybeboard. I think that Overgrowth is a card that COULD be good in the deck that other people could make work in a sister deck. A card similar to Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger if you will. Basically, you could probably swap out half of the kept cards in this deck, it just depends on your playstyle and preference.

@Everyone I don't know why it posted that last comment twice, it just did. I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.

Please make a Training Grounds / Biomancer's Familiar / Izzet Guildmage combo deck (uses Manamorphose or Desperate Ritual / Psychic Puppetry spliced onto Lava Spike or another arcane spell to win). I've tried to build a few versions of it myself but I'd like to see another person's take on it.

Also, you misspelled the word 'Supporters' in your update.

@hungry000 Gotcha. I'll see what I can do. Might take a week or so. And yes I know I mispelled it because autocottect sucks.

itachi45 Anything you want me to build itachi? Any kind of phyrexian infecty jankfest? Keep in mind that it can be in Modern or EDH. I play both of those formats.

Ok then hungry000 I have made your proposed combo deck: Here you go, hungry000. You asked for it. It took me less time than I thought, seeing as how combo decks are hard to customize. It is kinda generic because I don't play combo decks. Got a lot of help from MTG Salvation.

Love the deck! very similar to my old original zendikar block deck, but with a modern update.

not sure if this has been brought up or not, but All Is Dust is technically an eldrazi. coupled with It That Betrays , this can seriously cripple an opponent.

I think the sideboard for that old deck was 3 all is dust (redundancy against counter magic), 2 Emrakul, 2 Ulamog, 2 It that Betrays, and 2 Kosilek, and then a bunch of other smashers. with the newer eldrazi, World Breaker is a decent optional addition, as are Oblivion Sower , Sire of Stagnation (because if you don't need to spend mana, might as well get some card draw in there), and 1 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger as additional removal

@Snickles@EDH_only Glad that you like it. You COULD include All Is Dust is your sideboard, but seeing that you have around ANNIHILATOR 50, I don't think that is is necessary. And While World Breaker , Oblivion Sower and Sire of Stagnation are all powerful cards, they don't have the pure smashing power of Desolation Twin or Void Winnower and that is what im really looking for in my sideboard. I also don't need to include Sire of Stagnation because I have Kozilek, Butcher of Truth who automatically refill my hand regardless of how many cards I had in there prior. While I looked at Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger , Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre has more potential for any possible doomsday devices. Shuffling my graveyard into my library is just an added security feature(just in case. You'll never know what you'll com across). He also has Annihilator which is always a plus.

Heres a link to a deck I've been working on for the last few days Big Boys Doing Big Boy Things. It doesn't utilize Spawnshire of Ulamog as your deck does, but its another interesting way of "cheating" those big creatures onto the battlefield, and I thought you might find it interesting and maybe find some inspiration from it. I'd also like to know what you think of it and whether or not you would have any suggestions for improvements.

This deck should be running 4x Ancient Stirrings , for sure. Digging 5 will let you get Spawnsire of Ulamog out far more consistently.

PrismMTG says... #23

It would be handy, but what would I take out? If I take out Heroic Intervention then I lost my only protection. Taking out Harmonize won't work because I need to be able to get to my ramp. Anything else I could take out ( Endless One and From Beyond ) almost renders the card useless, as then it could only get Spawnsire of Ulamog and lands. It puts anything ramp on the bottom as well because all of my mana ramp in order to activate Spawnsire of Ulamog is green not colorless.

What do you think about Heartbeat of Spring? It is a bit more risky than Vernal Bloom but could accelerate your mana faster. I use it in my momo-green Modern acceleration deck and it rarely benefits my opponents more than me.

TheOfficialCreator I think that works better, because A. This list doesn't really have a care in the world what its opponent is doing, and B. It works with Castle Garenbrig too

Doesn't hurt that it's one CMC cheaper
