Or more acurately, Jeskai their face. This budget deck has proven not only quite powerful but fun to play and very cheap as well.. Bellow I will list why I choose the cards I did. (Welcome to suggestions in the comments)
The creature base, due to the budget, is at an unfortunate lack of Snapcaster Mage and Vendilion Clique. I replaced Snapcaster Mage with Wall of Omens and the lone Vendilion Clique that most decks run with AEtherling (I need more finishers due to the lack of Celestial Colonnade). I think that 1x AEtherling and 1x Pearl Lake Ancient fill the deck's lack of finisher quite well, and 4x Wall of Omens does everything we want it to at a price of a measly $2 each. For other options, you could run Daxos of Meletis or Arashin Cleric as a way to gain life early, but I didn't find it necessary with the obscene amount of stall and removal. But obviously, this deck's strong suite is not the creatures, so lets move to the meat of the deck, the spells.
Now for the spells, oh this is gonna be fun! As depicted in the picture above, Aurelia's Fury is a one of just to kill stuff or hit them for ten in the late game. From Azorius Charm and Condemn fighting their early creatures, to Mana Leak and Negate tackling their huge end of turn Sphinx's Revelation, this deck's spell base is powerful, even without Cryptic Command. We have draw spells ( Dragonlord's Prerogative and Steam Augury), the counterspells listed above (except Cryptic Command :P), and a flury of burn spells that can end the game quite quickly if both of your finishers are dispatched. The Day of Judgment would be a Supreme Verdict or Wrath of God, but, well, budget. You could run more wrath affects, but as I said earlier, LOTS of removal.
The lands are as boring as ever, and when you are playing budget, they get ten times harder. However sad it may be, I did end up taking the Celestial Colonnades out for Faerie Conclave, but Faerie Conclave is'nt that bad, right? Right guys?
Well their you go! Pretty powerful deck considering how much Jeskai usually is and how much this deck costs. But seriously, if you have the money, this deck gets waaay better. Cryptic Command, Celestial Colonnade, Snapcaster Mage, Vendilion Clique, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Helix, and Sphinx's Revelation all really want to be in this deck, so seriously, if you have the money, this deck gets way better. You could also make the deck dark jeskai for some black removal. But either way, I hope you like it!
