JUND
I have been working on this deck for quite some time now, since the spoilers of Kaladesh came out actually. It has been my baby for a while and I would finally like to share it with you all. I finally took this out to Gameday at my LGS.
Obviously Winding Constrictor is great for this deck allow for an extra energy counter whenever you get them and obviously +1/+1 counters! With snake on board with Glint-Sleeve Siphoner every time she attacks you get 2 energy allowing you to draw an extra card EVERY TURN! Tireless Tracker 2 mana for 2 +1/+1 counters and a card draw? Yes please. Nissa, Voice of Zendikar her -2 pumps your whole board an incredible amount! Even without Winding Constrictor each card is relevant on there own and makes your opponent worry!
Side Board Plans
Against control I normally board in 3x Scrapheap Scrounger and 2x Bristling Hydra and sometimes Lost Legacy depending on the matchup. Against Creature heavy decks I board in 2x Fatal Push, Yahenni's Expertise, and Harnessed Lightning. The 2 Weaver of Lightning are for Mardu Vehicles and other decks with 1 toughness creatures!
Game 1: Mardu Vehicles 2-1
Every Game was close with insane board states on both sides. Game 1 I had 2 Winding Constrictor's and top decked a Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and -2 to have my board run over his! Game 3 Yahenni's Expertise put him down and out of the game. (This deck ended up winning the tournament)
Game 2: G/R Werewolves 2-0
This was a very jank deck and a blow out, kinda felt bad especially winning game 2 with two lands until turn 5...
Game 3: B/W Control 2-1
Game one he had an impressive start with two flipped Lone Rider
and gained too much life to come back. After that games 2 and 3 came down to Bristling Hydra and Scrapheap Scrounger staying on the board and closing out the game.
Game 4: Jeskai CopyCat 2-0
Games were drawn out but ended up winning by always leaving answers up for the combo.
Top 8 Game 1: Mono-White Servos 2-0
Game one they only had 2 lands and never drew into anymore. Game two Yahenni's Expertise came in clutch once again.
Top 8 Semi-Finals: B/R Control 1-2
I don't know how he was able to do this but he always had thought-knot seers to slow me down. Game 3 he had THREE Thought-Knot Seer's in a row! He ended up losing to Mardu Vehicles in the finals which I was looking forward to lol but all in all a great first try out for this deck
