Mana Base
I know it's weird but it works so well! This is probably the most innovative part of the deck. Testing the deck I noticed that white duals were too random, with fetchlands you can pickup the missing color every time and play just one white source (white is a small splash)
Creatures
This part of the deck changes often but this is what I have sleeved right now, I have often played with the second spore frog and the horror of the broken lands. Everything looks pretty straightforward to me, no durdling, just efficient creatures.
Auramancer
is great in the match up where dead weight is great, sometimes I cut it.
Misc
Abundant growth is too good to pass! It does everything you need: dig for tortured and for specific answers, fix the mana, help hitting land drops and provides value when combined with

This is good in every non-aggro matchups, I always have one in my SB

Crypt Rats
I side in this one in so many different matchups that sonetimes I feel like it belongs to the main deck. It is good against both aggro, control and against many combo. By the most powerful card in the deck

Qasali Pridemage
You know that everybody is going to side either

or
Nihil Spellbomb
and we'd like to get rid of them. I prefer it over
Caustic Caterpillar
because of the body and the exalted. I don't even have to say that it does the heavy lifting against affinity, auras and heroic.

Mesmeric Fiend
For so long I haven't played any card for the tron matchup because it is almost unwinnable, this one feels like can do some work in different matchups though so I'm testing it

Circle of Protection: Red
red Burn is not easy in my opinion, I think 2 is correct. It is good also against izzet blitz and I have sided it in also against affinity

Against the deck that overload on enchantment removals (elves, monoG, sliver,...). The good part is that these deck also suffer dead weight, so

For elves and faeries. Honestly I don't love this card. Easily repleacable
