Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, you may put three +1/+1 counters on target land you control. If you do, that land becomes a 0/0 Elemental creature with haste that's still a land.

To help with card draw, you could include Inspiring Call, Grapple with the Past and possibly Ghirapur Orrery (it does benefit your opponents symmetrically, but your deck would probably use it most effectively). There are also many creatures that draw you cards relative to +1/+1 counters: Armorcraft Judge,Prime Speaker Zegana, Fathom Mage to name a few.
I am working on a similar build, Atraxa Lands deck (EDH), which started as a Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper deck but needed access to more colors to better utilize Awaken cards and man-lands. There are certainly more options to choose from in 4 colors. Thanks for sharing your deck!

ZendikariWol and Descole, thank you so much for the feedback! It was all very insightful and I will take all suggestions into careful consideration. I took off the custom categories for now until I can clean it up and get a proper description typed up.
As for some of the deck commanders I face regularly, they would be: Scion of the Ur-Dragon, The Gitrog Monster, Norin the Wary, Atraxa, Praetors' Voice, Jhoira of the Ghitu, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Vial Smasher the Fierce, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, Rashmi, Eternities Crafter, Maelstrom Wanderer, Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper, Sliver Overlord, Sharuum the Hegemon.
As for a game plan, my goal is to ramp as much as possible early on. Get Omnath out by turn four, create as much elementals as possible and give them haste to attack immediately then sac the majority of them for additional damage. It is crucial for me to have draw mechanics, ramp and haste early on to have game advantage. In my playgroup especially, it is always a race to get early field advantage and take out those who try to WinCon as early as turn 3-6. I hope this helps.

I'd suggest Rashmi, Eternities Crafter. You can do Clone "tribal" if you like stealing stuff, but the awesome thing about Rashmi is that you don't even have to build around her, and she is STILL a huge card-advantage engine. My deck is Crafting Eternities (Budget). Lazav, Dimir Mastermind is another potential Clone tribal commander.
Then, I'd also suggest wild combo. Not infinite per-se, just bizarre. Like Jeskai Ascendancy + Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper in Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis. Or Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant in The Gitrog Monster (I've got both those lists on my page). If that kind of deck interests you, I've got a WIP list of similar cards @ Wacky Combos: Builder's Resource that might be helpful.

I'm with a lot of users above who say Voltron is a boring and linear strategy (even if it's effective). However, there is a thrill in eliminating somebody in a single combat. If you're willing to broaden from simply "voltron" to "explosive wins", I'd go with Kresh the Bloodbraided (or Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, or Ghave, Guru of Spores) and Fling-style effects as a win con. I've got a list called Blood-Braided Beatdown (Primer) of this type.
For the group hug, I'd try to combo your way to a win. Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis can make a good land-creatures control/combo deck, with Jeskai Ascendancy and Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper, and so on. Group hug keeps you alive until the combo comes online, and WG has plenty of tutors for enchantments. My list for them is Kynaios and Tiro EDH ($40 Budget).
Obviously, though, other lists can only take you so far. If you get a clearer idea of what you want, hit me up and I'll be glad to look at your list.

@BioProfDudeI have thought about Sylvan Advocate, but I'm not sure what he would add. I don't play any land creatures yet, and I don't think giving them +2/+2 would validate playing them (except for Needle Spires). It could be combined with Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper (which is an ally), I'm just afraid that it deviades to much from the main deck though. Thanks for the input though!

On Gatherer I have a question about one of the rulings.
10/4/2004 - Equinox will not counter a spell which would indirectly cause destruction of one of your lands.
Do board wipes such as Wrath of God directly kill the lands (being that they are now animated) or is this something that would be indirect.
Also, if anyone can answer, what is "direct destroy?" Being targeted?
