This can be a centralised place where most of the discussion around Commander 2015 spoilers takes place.
The Wizards announcement with the release date and more details is here
So here we go:
Another year of commander precons and another year of excitement. What are you looking forward to? What do you hope for? What would you really dislike?

Ewit fits the Simic just as well as Golgari, Simic's all about those ETB triggers. I could see it being in either or both.
October 19, 2015 4:05 p.m.
We have a date! Unfortunately, it's two weeks away.
October 22, 2015 10:15 a.m.
The extra 2 per time the general is sent to the command zone is a tax, and has nothing to do with cmc. Her cmc is 4.
October 22, 2015 8:47 p.m.
Well edits causing ornithopters, but I didn't realize that we had three pages. The cmc questions prob been answered.
October 22, 2015 8:49 p.m.
The cmc printed on the card is what counts not the mana spent to cast the spell.
October 25, 2015 2:40 a.m.
mgsaintz - In all situations except spells. So if I pay
for an Endless One, then Kalemne would give you an experience counter.

@greyninja Except on the stack. When a spell is on the stack, = whatever number you cast it for. That's why you can Disdainful Stroke a Genesis Wave
October 25, 2015 9:18 a.m.
Named_Tawyny says... #12
That's correct. It's also why Endless One can often avoid Void Winnower's first ability, but a Hangarback Walker never can. (Although they both get hit by its second ability)
October 25, 2015 9:45 a.m.
QUESTIONS INCOMING
So if player 1 spends to cast Endless One, and player 2 casts Draining Whelk; it will enter with six +1/+1 counters?
If player 1 spends to cast Endless One with Krosan Drover in play, will it enter with eight +1/+1 counters? In theory they could have spent
to play it, but the drover made it cost
less. What's its cmc now? (on the stack)
Animar, Soul of Elements is on the field with six +1/+1 counters on it, and you cast Endless One for , it gets six +1/+1 counters and it's cmc is
on the stack? If Krosan Drover is also in play it'll enter with two more +1/+1 counters then?
Not trolling, just trying to see all angles

This really belongs in Q&A;, but I'll try to answer your questions quickly.
1) Yes. On the stack, Endless One's CMC is six. It exists on the stack when it is countered.
2) Yes. Player 1 would announce X as being 8. When costs are calculated, you'd pay 2 less, which would be six.
3) It depends. Player 1 could give it anywhere from zero to six +1/+1 counters, and its CMC could be anywhere from 0 to 6, depending on what Player 1 announcs the value of X to be. If Krosan Driver is in play, its ability will only be relevant if X is equal to 6, 7, or 8 in this situation (assuming Player 1 isn't paying any mana and has no other cost reduction effects). Endless One in this situation will enter with a number of +1/+1 counters on it equal to the value of X
October 25, 2015 10:06 a.m.
I don't know that I'm correct, as I'm no rules expert, but here's what I think is true:
- Yes. It has a CMC of 6 on the stack, so Draining Whelk gets six +1/+1 counters
- Yes. You're casting Endless One for eight. Effects that reduce the amount you actually pay don't effect the CMC. You get the eight +1/+1s because you cast it with X=8, though Krosan Drover reduced the amount you actually paid.
- Yes. Again, you're casting Endless One for X=6, so it goes on the stack with a CMC of 6. Cost reduction effects don't impact the CMC, just how much you actually have to pay.
Consider another standard legal card with X in its mana cost: Quarantine Field. If I play it with Herald of the Pantheon in play, it will reduce the amount I pay by one, but if it also affected what the game considered X to be, I'd need to find a way to exile half of a permanent...

Well there haven't really been any spoilers so there's not really anything to talk about
October 25, 2015 12:18 p.m.
I feel this discussion is relevant as it refers directly to the new boros legendary creature
I looked it up:
202.3b When calculating the converted mana cost of an object with an X in its mana cost, X is treated as 0 while the object is not on the stack, and X is treated as the number chosen for it while the object is on the stack.
Way to make things extra complicated WIZARDS
October 25, 2015 2:15 p.m.
It's not that complicated. "X" is true everywhere except "Y". There's one exception which we can easily make sense of.
October 25, 2015 2:17 p.m.
I'm interested to see what they do for the land bases. There are only a dozen or so dual-mana producing lands, which in a deck of 30-40 lands is one in 3 or 4, which is definitely not enough in my opinion. Constructed decks usually get around this with fetches and careful card consideration, but fetches aren't gonna happen in these precons. I'm guessing every deck has at least Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse. Ideally the new tango + dual + check + some new "enters the battlefield tapped" + some other effect would be sweet.
October 25, 2015 4:35 p.m.
We'll definitely see Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse. Both of them were printed in the previous Commander sets.
October 25, 2015 4:40 p.m.
You don't really need complicated mana-bases in dual coloured decks. Ive seen mediocre dual coloured decks using only basics and it was fine. Not ideal, but fine.
October 25, 2015 7:52 p.m.
The duals we should probably expect are each representative (I'm listing the Boros ones b/c it's easier this way): Wind-Scarred Crag, Boros Garrison, and Boros Guildgate. This doesn't count Command Tower, because let's be real, it's gonna be in each deck. I'd like to see either the Clifftop Retreat or Rugged Prairie cycles, or god forbid the Arid Mesa cycle, but the checks or filters would be nice includes in the deck.
October 25, 2015 7:56 p.m.
I know that the fetches we want won't show up in these decks but this would be a perfect spot to reprint them and keep them out of standard. Still excited for these though
October 25, 2015 7:57 p.m.
GeminiSpartanX says... #25
If the new commander decks include the filterlands, I'll definitely be picking up the BG and BW ones!

Didgeridooda says... #26
The fetches could carry a MM3 set. I think that is a more appropriate place for them. They just got printed limited in bfz, no reason to print here too.
October 26, 2015 10:26 a.m.
asasinater13 says... #27
their price tag is a good reason to give them a non MM3 printing. They need somethign with unlimited print run. I don't think commander is right, maybe whatever supplemental we get this summer. imagine how much a conspiracy 2 would sell with fetches in it?
October 26, 2015 10:50 a.m.
Conspiracy 2 with enemy fetches at rare would betoo good to be true, assuming the print run and card quality are the same as Conspiracy.
I actually hope they print new enemy colored lands. Finishing the Sungrass Prairie, Krosan Verge, or even Grasslands cycles would be nice.
October 28, 2015 6:26 a.m.
Put fetch lands in there to reduce their price.
Also put the gods.
Also put the lieges.
October 28, 2015 6:40 a.m.
Sorry for the double post, but I just thought of this.
You know how wizards added value to the recent clash pack and event deck?
What if they do this for the 2015 commander decks? I think they held back in terms of value for commander 2014.
October 28, 2015 6:42 a.m.
MindAblaze says... #31
The card quality seems noticeably worse with the commander printings. Really high sheen and almost lower quality cardboard. If you want cheap fetches that would be how to do it.
October 28, 2015 12:03 p.m.
JakeHarlow says... #32
You're not kidding, MindAblaze. I've been encountering issues with almost every preconstructed product I open lately. Poor cardboard quality, edging issues, poor centering, and pack damage are starting to become commonplace in these types of products. It is starting to make me really angry.
I mean, we all know how bad the quality control was with MM2. God, that was terrible. If they don't fix these issues with these new Commander products, I don't even know if I'll buy one. Quality control errors, especially commonplace ones, from a company with Wizard's background, is absolutely unacceptable.
October 28, 2015 5:16 p.m.
We get lore on at least a couple of the new Commanders next Tuesday!
From a teaser at the bottom of this week's Uncharted Realms:
The next two Uncharted Realms stories will showcase new characters from Commander (2015 Edition).
October 29, 2015 6:38 a.m. Edited.
So spoiler season officially starts next week? monday? :)
October 29, 2015 10:10 a.m.
smackjack - YES! SO EXCITE! falls back on the hype train
October 29, 2015 10:13 a.m.
ChiefBellI really hope that these enemy color decks create different archetypes, for these color combos part of me wants to see a Golgari graveyard matters commander deck, but I also kind of would like to see these enemy decks to take on new flavor just a little bit, stuff that requires brew around, and not just these are the expected archetypes dump all your good stuff here haha but I think your speculations on what the color combos will do is most likely correct. I'm kind of hoping for an artifact/thopter theme with Izzet tbh
October 30, 2015 2:03 a.m.
Agreed, there isn't a good artifact-focused Izzet commander and I'd love one! I'm brewing an artifact list with Keranos, God of Storms just because he's hard to remove and good card advantage.
I'm surprised to hear there are quality control issues, I've not had any with the supplemental products I've purchased. Hopefully Wizards sorts that out.
October 30, 2015 11:17 a.m.
I'm hoping each deck has an Enemy-Color Planeswalker in it.
Vraska the Unseen
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
Ral Zarek
Ajani Vengeant
Kiora, the Crashing Wave
....
Or perhaps a new a new version of each.
October 30, 2015 12:58 p.m.
asasinater13 says... #40
we could see a boros gideon if we get new planeswalkers.
October 30, 2015 2:30 p.m.
I'm still hoping we get a throwback character like the last commander product, or even a character who was mentioned in the last few plot lines who never managed to get a card would be cool af too. Like I think it would be cool if we got a throwback commander, and a new commander, and the third commander option would be just a reprint as usual!

I loved the idea of using characters from older lore as commanders in C14 and really hope they do that again this year.

What colors would Urza be? A card of him is one of the most desired cards for many players, but portraying such an epic character would not be easy. He obviously would be blue, since he was an artificer, and a brilliant one, but he also would have other colors, as well, since his personality and abilities definitely contained elements of other colors. I myself imagine him being red/white/blue, since his brother Mishra is red/blue/black, showing that they are very similar in many aspects, but different in several crucial ways.
On a different topic, will experience counters be used in different ways from how Kalemne uses them? I myself am hoping to see abilities such as "you gain life equal to the number of experience counters that you have," "draw cards equal to the number of experience counters that you have," or "[source] deals damage to target creature or player equal to the number of experience counters that you have." Would those not be awesome abilities?
October 30, 2015 7:09 p.m.
DemonDragonJ I highly doubt uzra will ever get a printing cause there is no way to make him in a way that would be balanced at all! I do like what your getting at with the different uses of the experience counters though, I think that would make sense flavor wise as well because people gain experience in different ways so naturally a blue commander wouldn't gain experience via combat or damage, but through their study in books so they would draw cards from gaining experience!
October 30, 2015 7:30 p.m.
I want a hexproof Tidehollow Sculler ish thing for 1GB.
October 31, 2015 6:20 p.m.
kyuuri117, Mesmeric Fiend for 1B is pretty close.
Maybe use the G on half of a Lightning Greaves? :-)

Spoilers are up. We now have three of the experience counter commanders and two of the secondary commanders.
Other mechanics include Myriad, where you make a clone of your attacking creature for each other player it could attack, and Confluences, which are like commands but you select three options and you can select an option more than once.
So far this looks pretty amazing
November 2, 2015 11:12 a.m.
MurderHood says... #49
@lemmingllama 3 experience commanders? I've only seen two.
November 2, 2015 11:19 a.m.
And... snakes. Izzet's cool but not that good for storm (melek is better imo) which is what I would want to build.
