How many T1 wins do you know of in EDH... while still in a deck that can do well fairly consistently.

My deck: Animar - a work in progress, is the first I've seen... (Though extremely unlikely!).

Please post others you know of.

Here is how mine works... all cards (including 8th drawn card) have to be exact... someone can work out the probability of this, if you want.

Play - Kobolds of Kher Keep
Play - Ornithopter
Play - Crimson Kobolds
Play - Crookshank Kobolds
Play - Gaea's Cradle
Tap - Gaea's Cradle for 4 Green Mana.
Play - Aluren
Play - Commander Animar, Soul of Elements without paying it's mana cost.
Play - Screeching Drake without paying it's mana cost. (Put a +1/+1 counter on Animar, Soul of Elements when cast.)
Return Screeching Drake to your hand.
Repeat casting, and bouncing Screeching Drake , while putting +1/+1 counters on Animar, Soul of Elements
When Animar, Soul of Elements has 20 or more counters, stop casting Screeching Drake
Play - Hellraiser Goblin - Your creatures now have Haste.
Attack with Animar, Soul of Elements for 21+ Commander Damage.

Rayenous - Well, there are 186,087,894,300 ways to choose 8 cards from a deck of 100 at random, And there are 8!=40,320 ways of arranging 8 cards in a hand. Therefore the probability with that T1 win in your deck is 40320/186087894300 which is approximately 0.0000217%. So good luck, if that ever happens you are very VERY lucky.

Good luck finding people to play with you after pulling a stunt like that.

None of these are ever going to happen, of course, but it sure is tons of fun to think about!

Here's mine (from Mossflower's Infinite Wanderings):

Mana Crypt -> Grim Monolith -> Mox Opal -> Island -> Power Artifact on Grim Monolith (infinite mana) -> Gemstone Array (infinite colored mana) --> Maelstrom Wanderer cascading into a sac outlet (which is the fundamental premise of the deck: infinite colored mana + a sac outlet + Maelstrom Wanderer as your commander = your entire deck on the battlefield, and you can then choose any number of different ways to win on the spot).

I came up with this one for a turn 1 win in edh:

play Mana Crypt

tap Mana Crypt for 2 colorless to play Grim Monolith

play Lotus Petal and Mox Opal

tap Mox Opal for 1 blue

tap and sac Lotus Petal for 1 blue

play Power Artifact enchanting Grim Monolith for infinite colorless mana

play Rings of Brighthearth and Planar Portal

activate Planar Portal's ability and use Rings of Brighthearth to copy Planar Portal's Ability to tutor for Mycosynth Lattice and Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate

play Mycosynth Lattice

produce infinite mana of the chosen color(s) to play Debt to the Deathless or Exsanguinate

vampirelazarus, we've got a live (undead) one!

Yo, Etria4219, check the post dates when you bump old threads. This one's a year and a half old.

Ah, I love receiving notifications from threads I posted on years ago.

Though I have to ask: How do people find these threads to necro?

From Google, typically.

T0 - bring scissors to FNM

T1 - Cut target opponent's general in half

Before end of turn, laugh while saying, "WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW??"

Yes from google. I occasionally have to catch myself from reanimating a thread because of google searches and how often they come up when asking or searching for MTG related material.
