Inspired by the numerous W/B "Orzhov" Vampire decks currently being brewed for IXALAN Standard.
This is my first, self-brewed deck. I've thought about every card and how they synergize, even if the deck does share a lot of similarities with other W/B Vampire Tribal decks. It can only be so unique.
"The Dusk Inquisition" is a W/B "Orzhov" Vampire tribal deck that can go wide with Call to the Feast, Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, and Legion's Landing to then buff up those tokens and other Vampires with Metallic Mimic.
The Vampire token creatures can also be sacrificed to buff Yahenni, Undying Partisan or can help Sanctum Seeker drain your opponent's life.
Bishop of Rebirth
is in the deck so that she can help get creatures like Yahenni, Undying Partisan, Metallic Mimic, or any other creature with a low CMC back into the battlefield. She's a watered down, Standard-legal Sun Titan.
Aethersphere Harvester can be crewed by a Vampire token or by any other Vampire/Creature with summoning sickness, great for keeping the damage coming and your lifepool growing.
Gifted Aetherborn and Bishop's Soldier are filler two-drops, but they can still contribute a lot to the deck and with Gifted Aetherborn's Deathtouch you can use it to dissuade a Carnage Tyrant or other large creature from being so aggressive to you.
Walk the Plank and Fatal Push are your standard removal.
...Man, Standard could really do with more W/B dual-lands.
Sideboard:
Authority of the Consuls is there to slow down aggressive decks. Demystify because enchantment hate will be important. Dusk / Dawn a second copy as a last resort if you absolutely NEED more board wipe. Duress for going against control decks. Saving Grace to protect your creatures from board wipe. Solemnity a counter to Merfolk Counters. Never / Return Planeswalker removal.
