Old friends return in these scrying times —Jan. 10, 2017
Thrasios has whiffed far too much to remain in here, LB will do more work with the scry, let alone the easily activated cheap draws I will get mid-late game.
SC is extremely high cmc and in practice his effect hasn't helped me overmuch, unless he is alongside other big booties that would have been fine on their own. Thassa gives me early game draw fixing, the ability to sneak damage through for minimal mana cost, and the potential to be a 5/5 indestructible booty herself. She seems more viable and is 5 mana cheaper to play.

Doubling cube isn't needed any more, my ramp is far more efficient than earlier iterations of this deck and my early game is far better. Gonna work MB back into the mix because I have missed my infinite Glen Elendra Archmage recursion jimmies and other synergies.
While she runs fairly well, the inability to grab instants/sorceries gimps her heavily and the draw/fixing I am getting from the new pieces will help far more than her ult which rarely gets to be popped. SK is back in because 7/7 hexproof for 5 is hard to beat and I felt I needed another big body with Stonehoof Chieftain leaving the deck.

I don't know if you found this out yet, but it's still in your control package discription - Creeping Reniessance does not return instants, only permenants of the type of your choosing. Other than that, great deck, sir!

Thank you for the praise!
and yes, in the last comment cleanup someone did mention my egregious misplay of Creeping Renaissance that no one in my playgroup noticed either.
I replaced it with Greenwarden of Murasa which was a long time coming anyways.
The primer will be updated after Aether Revolt, I presume ill get at least 2 pieces seeing as the already spoiled Disallow is a strictly better Voidslime already

Think Stunt Double and Rite of Replication could find a home in here? From personal experience, they are rarely bad, especially in the late game
December 7, 2016 10:11 a.m.
Thanks for the good recs!
I have considered both in the past, Stunt Double has the cuteness of flash, but I prioritize Clever Impersonator for the sheer utility of copying game ending artifacts, enchants, walkers, etc. my opponents are edging out with.
Rite of Replication is sitting in my maybe pile for this deck, has been for quite awhile. Can never seem to justify cutting a big booty creature or any of my utility dorks. For now, I would value my newly added Sakashima the Impostor over rite because repeatedly casting an Eternal Witness for 8 mana and being able to break legend rule, for say... Prime Speaker Zegana, gives me just enough edge to push the tides back. In testing, rite just brings down a wipe, I lack the mana to protect my new acquisitions, or my opponents/I don't have a piece out that I wish to copy. Sakashima is cheaper, has more uses, and for now can self sustain me if I have no creatures out. Cackling Counterpart has the boon of instant speed, so also edges out past this guy (and is essentially two castings of Stunt Double. CC tends to win me games.
All in all, I love copy effects, but if I put many more copy effects in I risk losing the potency of useful copy targets, lose some of my extremely reliable care package, or risk replacing a card that is more self sustainable and game changing with less cmc.

Makes sense! I use mine since my meta is full of great targets on my opponents board to target as well as my own.
Also curious as why you run Kruphix as your commander rather then Rashmi? I see them both as great, just wondering your particular reasoning.

infinite hand size and always having access to options! :)
if I choose to leave response mana open andnothing worth responding too happens, I tap that mana and store it in my pool because kruphix.
I just ramped x mana while keeping tempo control over the board. I can play 9 drops or commit to a well timed hand vomit whenever it pleases me. All about reading the field and playing to your strengths.
In a nutshell. This deck draws and responds so well, kruphix isn't a huge threat, but helps greatly and rarely solicits removal in a multiplayer game...which lets me keep him. Heck, the built in evasion and indestructibility make him glorious even as a chump blocker

If you're gonna use Myojin of Life's Web, you might as well go with Omniscience. A Myojin combo gets little done that Omniscience can't, and it becomes much easier if Omniscience is already out.

Thanks for the recommendation
Myojin of Life's Web's effect is more for the flash than the manaless casting. Also its an extremely solid beatstick with indestructible until I choose otherwise.
I tend to have 15+ fluff mana in my pool to use wherever/whenever I wish on top of my lands when the game starts picking up (I can reliably play Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur by turn 6 with mana open for a counterspell or easily play Myojin then as well, but not as much need for the counter support usually).
Omniscience is a solid card, but in this deck mana is never the problem, having access to options in hand and being able to play them at an opportune time are more relevant. Paying 10 mana to be able to vomit my hand when I already do that reliably isn't necessary.
And I have no desire to do the Omniscience/Enter the Infinite combo even though I have the mana because to me its not fun and only legal in mono-blue decks in my meta

Myojin also pairs with Vorel of the Hull Clade and Gilder Bairn because of the extra counters

I've got vorel in, love that little bugger.
If I up my planeswalker count or get a copy of Vigor I might consider glider bairn

One last idea, you probably have enough copy/clone to run Biovisionary and get good results.
December 24, 2016 9:19 p.m.
I do have enough copy/clone effects to win with Biovisionary
Though it will almost always be a dead draw since it is only useful when it's in a winning wombo.
I would have to use 3 copy effects to win with him....and I could win any game if I had 3 copy effects at my disposal in multiplayer.
Fun combo potential for sure, but I'm not a fan of insta win of any flavor in this deck because of how it plays. I have such control over the game that even fair insta wins like Blightsteel Colossus make their way out of the deck for more versatile cards and more varied games

Thassa, God of the Sea and the newly spoiled locket of myths are definitely gonna both find homes in here.
I'll make the changes after the full Aether Revolt spoiler when I overhaul the primer as well.
January 5, 2017 8:13 a.m.
Rishkar, Peema Renegade might be a creature based replacement for Cryptolith Rite, will do some testing. Gives me another annoying counterspell if paired with Glen Elendra Archmage, abusable with Deadeye Navigator, Scavenging Ooze and Chasm Skulker get more utility early game, decent utility creature all around. In brewing i'm going to push him by bringing Master Biomancer back into the fold, since Thrasios, Triton Hero has whiffed himself out of the deck. Pet project for sure, but I see potential.
Lifecrafter's Bestiary and Thassa, God of the Sea are likely going to make it in, I will have to play around with things to see if I have room for both while pushing the above pet project. If rishkar falls flat, I will add both. Going to playtest to see which benefits my strategy more, my money is on the free draw though.
Disallow will likely replace Voidslime, but since I never have a problem playing VS...its not high on my list (prefer the art on VS anyways). If I was going to add another counterspell to the mainboard atm, it would likely be Insidious Will over another VS.
Gonna be playing around with the deck en masse over the course of this week as I rework the primer.

disallow will find a home in here, whether it be as a 2nd Voidslime or replacing the original
