studajew It's just a hard card to find really. I'll definitely pick one up when I can. This decklist in particular is from before I had to sell a few cards, thankfully I got my Mana Crypt back recently, :D

I'd add an It That Betrays for the combo with All Is Dust

Deathbend It that betrays is pretty well established to be a huge 'win-more' card. It doesnt really get a slot in this deck unfortunately, despite it seeming so powerful its more of a casual card

Steel Hellkite is another great creature + removal. And you can get it back with Haven of the Spirit Dragon.
Also, Etched Champion is pretty good in this kind of deck.

Great deck! Quite similar to mine. I'm playing this commander mainly for fun, but here is my list if you want to see it :
Colorless Distortion - EDH

what makes you say the Staff of Nin can hurt planeswalkers?

Iron_Cube says... #8

SpiritoftheSands 'If a source you control would deal noncombat damage to an opponent, you may have that source deal that damage to a planeswalker that opponent controls instead.'

Staff of Nin deals 1 to target player, then you choose to redirect it to their planeswalker.

Damping Matrix
Crawlspace
and im not sure if you have a reason or not but i'm really surprised i don't see Darksteel Colossus Blightsteel Colossus or Colossus of Akros

evilclown5609 Damping Matrix makes us unable to use Kozilek's ability... would never play that. Crawlspace is okay, but I've got the extra Maze effects in here for things like that. Colossus is almost always too much investment, and Blightsteel got cut when Emrakul came out, mostly for flavor reasons. Also because Blightsteel is lame. ;o

You have no target removal, Titan's Presence, Scour from Existence. Also, a Warping Wail might be useful.

heya nice build! Probably going to look things over to get more inspiration for my Kozilek as well.I'd love your thoughts on my build Kozilek, The Gas Pedal

Aethaleon I have tons of spot removal. Karn Liberated Unstable Obelisk Spine of Ish Sah Duplicant Steel Hellkite and more importantly Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre

Titan's Presence would be excellent if it had the "Or on the battlefield' clause that a lot of the dragon tribal stuff in Tarkir block got. It doesnt, so Titan's presence doesn't make the cut. Scour from Existence is powerfully bad, we've done everything in our power to avoid running it. and Warping Wail was cut in favor of focusing more on keeping Kozilek out to counter spells.

Cloudstone Curio, have you considered it as a means of Bouncing the Titans for reuse, especially your general if you get Paradox Engine online?

Also land-wise have you considered Urzatron? Its vulnerable as any land combo without green to back it up, but works wonders in the games that you do assemble it.

ZoakoTHEnotSogreat unfortunately the nonartifact clause on curio makes it neigh unplayable. The list is way too tight to give up on utility for subpar creatures to fit that theme. That being said bouncing titans is a real thing for sure, but youd be better off using Erratic Portal

The land list for this deck is getting even tighter with Hour of Devastation giving us the Grave-hate desert. Really, this deck ought to be playing 2 to 4 more wastes for anti-antinonbasic cards. And i cant even find cuts for those ;-; Tron is really unreliable, we would rather focus on getting eye of ugin ancient tomb etc

What is your main reason for including the manlands since I doubt you put them in here just to chump block?

Also what do you intend to cut for the Scavenger Grounds?

July 4, 2017 11:36 p.m.

QuietMyth says... #18

ZoakoTHEnotSogreat the manlands can form an important part of the machine. Chump blocking is pretty effective more than youd think, but the primary reason is that they can speed up use of Trading Post and alongside ashnods altar and Krark clan turn into pseudo Crystal Vein lands. My meta had taken a bit of a turn away from Narset, Enlightened Master so i believe Arcane Lighthouse is getting axed. Grave decks are more prominent now. And removing shroud\hexproof isnt as good as you might think when your deck's spot removal costs 7 mana. Thanks for the comments :D

Looks sweet! Just wondering, what cards would you replace to have the few old border cards you mentioned in the deck?

September 5, 2017 2:26 a.m.

QuietMyth says... #20

The-Tree-Of-Might the main things you lose if you want new borders are Winding Canyons (buy em up now! Theyre on the reserved list but somehow only 8$) Grim Monolith which i never owned a copy of anyway, and a pet card of mine Tower of the Magistrate thanks for writing :D

September 5, 2017 3:45 a.m.

QuietMyth I meant in order to put those 3 cards in, what do I take out?

September 5, 2017 2:23 p.m.

QuietMyth says... #22

The-Tree-Of-Might i actually dont even know anymore. All this crazy CRAZY stuff from Ixalan is going to shake this deck up more than BFZ block did, wowza

  1. Mirage Mirror is a legit card. Being able to copy a mana rock and net mana is excellent. It can give so much value, and I think is worth an include. Perhaps I would think about taking out Ashnods Altar as the deck doesnt have that many creatures.

  2. Azor's Gateway  Flip feels good here as well. It filters cards early, and then turns into the biggest mana producer in the entire game.

VanillaBean_MTG thanks for commenting! I keep hearing that mirage mirror is a great card in edh but I sorta just don't see it. Your best case copying a mana rock is net 1 mana which super isn't what we want to be doingCutting ashnods altar is only an option if you want to lean into eldrazi tribal more, as the machine it sets up with trading post myr turbine and myr battlesphere is too strong, not to mention having a sac outlet for the noncommander eldrazi.Azors gateway will probably make the cut now that I'm remaking this deck, especially since you are already encouraged to stagger mana costs because of Kozilek's counterspell ability.

You mentioned that you're remaking this deck - how's it looking now? Any major changes to note for someone looking into getting something like this? :D
