Now after Rotation it was time to retire my U/W Control Deck. White just isn't strong enough any more. Soo let's try Esper. I might have to change a few things for sure! Recommendations are welcome!

Wincons:

Dragonlord Ojutai

This boy is awesome! Everybody knows that, so I don't really have to explain why he's so important.

Silumgar, the Drifting Death

Yeah he's good. A great blocker, hexproof(unconditionally), and weakens enemy creatures; Yes please!

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

He is played in two ways, depending on the level of danger. Either the opponent has nothing in his hand or is TAPPED OUT and you can (0) him for some knights, and later on (+1) him and attack for 5.

In times of Distress his (-4) can save Ojutai from a Languish!

Assistants

Dragonlord Silumgar

This one was tough, he's an okay creature, although a little too expensive; But his ability is a great last resort, a way to turn around the game. So he's staying, but just as a one of.

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

Spells:

Removal:

Ruinous Path: A slow card is better than no card, ; so a slow Hero's Downfall is better than no Hero's Downfall!

Utter End: This bad boy get's rid of almost anything, except Lands that woke up, so keep that in mind.

Stasis Snare: Basically Silkwrap but faster and more versatile. IMO worth the extra .

The Card-Draw

Anticipate: the STANDARD in STANDARD for Card-Draw; fast, efficient, good.

Dig Through Time: Anticipate on Steroids.

"Intelligence"

What I mean by "Intelligence" is Cards that let me know my Opponents hand, to let my make better decisions.

Duress: Intelligence card plus noncreature removal.

Despise : Intelligence plus creature (and PW) removal.

Pretty straight forward.

Counterspells

Scatter to the Winds : Cancel + Awaken. Nothing else to say.

Horribly Awry : Just useful. Fast and effective. Biggest drawback: it's limited to creatures. But otherwise AWESOME!

Silumgar's Scorn : In a deck with 6 Dragons and stable Card-Draw this is basically Counterspell and we all know how awesome that is.

WRATHs

Languish: a board-wipe for 4 mana count me in.

Crux of Fate: A STANDARD five mana board-wipe that leaves your dragons alive is a must.

In loving Memory of

Elspeth, Sun's Champion
