This is the deck I have been slowly building up over time to play with at the weekly modern event at the local shop. Its based on some decks I've played against in the past and that I've seen online and revolves around playing exciting creatures such as Loxodon Smiter (which happen to be both White and Green) and having them be buffed by Wilt-Leaf Liege and perhaps getting a token from Hero of Precinct One .

The current questions I have about where to move this in the future involve Emmara, Lands, and Lingering Souls. I'm pretty sure Lingering Souls is a great card but it doesn't cause you to get a token from the Hero so I keep changing my mind between having 4 Hero 3 Lingering Souls or 3 Hero and 4 Lingering Souls. I tend to sideboard out Hero in favour of lingering souls against things like burn and the other way around against decks with less single target removal.

When I first built this deck it had the 4 fast lands and the 4 Fortified Villages but as over the last year or so I've invested more into the lands I'm starting to wonder at what point the Fortified Villages become less useful and would be better replaced by basic lands.

Finally I'm not sure Emmara is a good card. I like making tokens and I like cards that are both green and white but I keep thinking that there might be a more powerful option in that slot. I'm pretty sure Voice of Resurgence would be good but I don't know anyone who has any for trade and it also seems like a pretty expensive card. Other things I've considered are Gaddock Teeg or Shanna, Sisay's Legacy as more budget friendly improvement options. I'm pretty sure I want to keep the number of creatures high but there are other things that might be a good idea If I want to lean more heavily into black such as Fatal Push or Assassin's Trophy . At its core this feels like a GW deck that looks to black because Rhino is cool but maybe more black could be useful.

I'd love any input any of you might have on these things or on the deck in general. Overall I find it really rather fun to play though I have been having a hard time in the weekly modern event against decks like Amulet Titan and Izzet Rhino.
